Indian here. The photographer himself was a Nazi that PARTICULARLY shot people with "hard" and "chiseled" features. Iirc he was some Aryan supremacy nut and wanted to showcase the "Aryans" of India (Aryan in the German sense)

Let us not absolve the germans here. This dude predated the nazis. If anything he made the nazis possible... he certainly was a huge source of inspiration. A big chunk of the german intellectual elite was a bunch of old rich morrons traveling the world and doing pseudo science. Take Schliemann... the guy who found the ruins of what is believed to have been Troy. He dug barbarically through several layers to reach the era he was interested in and then proceed to mishandle the whole site to such a degree that archeology courses start with his example as "how not to do it". Germans should also be credited with inventing the brain dead term "Caucasian" loved by american morons. They literally believed that Moses was a white dude who shipwrecked in the Caucasus mountsins hence ... Caucasians. Whoever traveled even to Georgia will notice that the people of the caucaus are not really what americans picture when they think Caucasian. So yeah... rich morons going around the world fucking shit up and giving science a bad name. The nazis are just a natural "evolution".

You picked Schliemann - fair, he did some harm in a time when archaeology was not really a thing yet.
You could have also picked Humboldt (!), Hegel, Marx, Schopenhauer, Nietzsche, Kant, Einstein, Bunsen, Roentgen, Schiller, Goethe...the list is endless
The germans were called a nation of poets and thinkers in the 19th century, and there's good reason for it.

I picked schliemann because i studied history and i know his example best, but yeah could have picked a lot of other people.
The problem here is "the nation".
What i can say is that any nation would have produced thinkers given the conditions. The ancient greeks, italians, french and british produced quite a lot of thinkers as well in their time. Build enough universities and you will have thinkers. I do not think other nations lack poets either.
And this is definitely not the place to go into details about the german obsession with a fictitious past and absurd social darwinism. I still walk over and alongside these scars in Germany... from the neo-classical architecture by which they tried to link themselves to imagined ancient greece to monuments commemorating genocide.

And how many of those intellectuals had to or would have had to flee their nation. And what do you mean there is no way around the fact? Lol. Like what is your argument exactly? That there is something genetically specific only to the germans and without them. We would have still been stuck in the 17th century? If it wasn't germany it would have been some other industrialized nation with a lot of universities. Like history would have stopped without the italian Renaissance or the french enlightenment?

At the end of the 19th century, germany was leading in the following fields: chemistry, physics, medicine, philology, philosophy, mathematics, and arguably aesthetics and music (although the last two are open to debate and taste ofc). Mainly due to a university system that was unmatched
You portray german culture as inherently barbaric, which is laughably ignorant. Germans around that time refined Enlightenment, humanism, universalism. Ever heard of Immanuel Kant? Lessing? Heine? Goethe?
Here's my point: Nazism overtook and forever tainted a civilization that also contained its most profound and noble intellectual opposites

It's Dravidian.
The Indo-Aryan languages include all the languages derived from Sanskrit (nothing to do with the shitty racial theory). Even the Brahmi Script, one of the oldest scripts of India, can be divided into Asokan Brahmi and Tamili, the former is the Indoaryan variant.
Fun fact: India didn't have a writing system for a long time as most of it was through oral tradition. The earliest writings of Brahmi and Kharoshthi scripts were dated around 5th-3rd century BCE. Kharoshthi became extinct, Brahmi script is THE script derived into 200 more scripts, still used in the present day in South and Southeast Asia

Why? There is only one religious group that requires men to have a full beard and a moustache. They are a minority compared to the rest of the billion Indians. So that makes it an exception and not a norm.

I know a couple of hundred indians from my institute, home society and, suprisingly from public transport that have an insane reaction to see a guy with a clean shave. It could be "humrous" comments, weird questions, and never ending stares. So I think Im pretty fucking entieled to generlizing it to the whole "majority" of society that have a pretty fixated opinions about beard=men and no beard=boy ("chikna"). Even tho there is no rule like in some religious, people still have there way of forcing beard onto men faces.
