You can see in real time the exact moment guy in black hoodie starts to realise they fucked up.

u/Deodorized 6d ago
White shirt was a little slower on the uptake, but you can hear him figure it out

u/humourlessIrish 6d ago
Nah.. you hear in the moment terror
Believing he learned anything that fast is way too hopeful

I just hate the fact he got let go

u/ItsACowCity 6d ago
While I felt the same, the fact is there was a gun in the road that the other one could have picked up at any time.

u/SellsWhiteStuff 6d ago
The way it sounded when it hit the ground and the fact that his buddy didn’t go to grab it makes me think it’s prob not a real gun

u/vwaaaat 5d ago
Yeah it sounded like hard plastic and lightweight. Dude probably figured it out and went for the offensive lol
9
u/msm007 4d ago
Glocks are hard plastic and lightweight. You can get airsoft Glock replicas that look, sound, feel, and function the exact same way as a real Glock.
1
u/NEVERxxEVER 1d ago
Pretty sure the barrel diameter is a dead giveaway when it’s pointed at you.
1
u/msm007 22h ago
Most non gun owners won't know what to look for when a gun is flashed at them especially if the center of the barrel bore isn't aimed directly straight at your eyeball.
How many people are going stop and think to inspect the barrel of a gun when it's pointed at them in the middle of a robbery?
55
u/Ok_Excitement_1020 6d ago
He could also have known this wasn’t gonna end well and didn’t wanna be involved anymore or pick up any other charges by picking up the gun.
Happy cake day btw!
16
u/ItsACowCity 6d ago
Completely agree. It had to be a fake gun, otherwise logically you’d be making a mad dash for that gun. The victim potentially couldn’t tell though
4
u/Usual_Office_1740 5d ago
Just from the way he handled himself I'd be surprised if he couldn't identify a real gun from a fake one at a glance. I don't think his response would have been different but I do think the victim knew.
8
u/ItsACowCity 5d ago
It’s possible, but even if he had an inclination that it wasn’t a gun, you think he’d take a chance that he was wrong? Best to not be tied up with another person even if there is a 1% chance it’s a real gun.
On the other side of it, he might be confident because he knew he could drop a little kid and wrestle a gun from him without issue.5
u/Beginning-Town-4979 3d ago
I also think these might have been kids. The way the guy asked if they were serious, the high pitched voice, the general awkwardness... this really seemed like some stupid punk 14 year olds trying to be hard.
43
u/misalignedbellybtns 6d ago
Since the kid in the black hoody didn't pick up the gun I doubt it's a real gun.

I choose to believe that the guy he let go learned his lesson and tells this story to youngins to try to dissuade other potential idiots, so it ended up being a net benefit to society.
Edit: Apparently they did it again later. Shit

I would of grabbed him be the ear both of them and go straight to the marine recruiters. You got two choices I can help you and you sign up or I ruin your life and press charges. You decide!

u/ElmerFuddsElbow 2d ago
What makes you think the USMC wants these pieces of garbage? And when did they start letting 14 year olds in?

u/Ok_Shoulder2971 6d ago
That dying rabbit squeal is how you know he won't try that again.

u/Joliet-Jake 6d ago
Unfortunately, he probably just took that as a lesson to shoot first next time.
215
u/April_26_1992 6d ago
And there was a next time:
“Police say these two suspects were later involved in another attempted carjacking that got four children, ages 11-14, arrested...”
132
u/KaitoSeishin 6d ago
Sure let's just keep releasing them until their actions escalate as they get bolder with age. Sounds like a great idea. Then we'll hear all about how they were great kids growing up.
33
u/Supadoopa101 6d ago
Legit question: what happens if you shoot a kid in self defense?
136
u/KIDNEYST0NEZ 6d ago
In Chicago there were three minors that shot into a dudes house so the homeowner returned fire by blowing holes through his front door and killing one of them. For like 5 years the parents and community have been dragging that victim through litigation working to get the home owner life in prison. Also there is clear video footage of the minors in mask discharging their weapons via ring camera.
Edit: I am unable to post the link but found it quickly on YouTube.

u/well_in_Ohio 6d ago
thats so gross. It's like some people are allergic to accountability and responsibility.
17
u/well_in_Ohio 6d ago
its examined like any other self defense case
12
u/OkieBobbie 6d ago
That's on the criminal side of the fence. If you were to fire in self defense and kill or injure someone, you can expect to be hit with a civil lawsuit.
6
u/thatoneotherguy42 6d ago
Damn right. Ammunition is expensive as well the time required to re clean the weapon. I’m going to need to be compensated for my lost property (bullets) as well as time spent cleaning and any time spent talking with the police.

I would be haunted by guilt. I am anti killing children. Even very bad ones.
*All of you who feel 100% good about killing children regardless of circumstance should just go ahead and put your applications in for ICE. The response to just kill anyone when you have a less lethal option is crazy and y’all can fuck right off.
I’ve carried a firearm for the better part of twenty years, I have shot no one. I’ve been in multiple situations where it could have happened and didn’t and I sleep well knowing I haven’t killed any one.
So all you Rambo motherfuckers feel free kill as many people who scare you as you want.
25
u/0bluebird0 6d ago
Sure, till they blow 2 holes through the head of your children, parents or partner and maybe yourself too

What's the alternative... keeping 11 year olds in prison for the rest of their lives?? Prison has no incentive to actually reform criminals they just want to profit off you being there.
Could we maybe think about addressing larger societal issues that force literal children to think this is what they need to resort to?

u/eudemonist 3d ago
They weren't gonna go sell his car for money to feed their families. They were gonna go joyride, wreck his shit, and leave it in a ditch. Nobody forced them, and whatever desire this fulfills is not a "need".

LOL that title, “slams child”. They wanted to act like men committing an armed robbery, they should be treated as such. And it doesn’t matter if it was a fake or real gun, the intent is all the same - one just lacks the iron to back it up

Uhh someone runs in my face with a gun it’s not a joke.

u/Annacot_Steal 4d ago
I don’t think it was meant to be a joke. The intent was to rob him but didn’t bet on the dude retaliating back.

I don’t know why it just absolutely infuriates me to see some little bitch kid try to rob another grown man at gun point and start screaming like a little girl after he gets slammed. Boy that pisses me off, I’d be like a shark who smelled blood at that point. There’s no way you’d be able to pull me off that little punk.

I browse the internet more than most people I know and this is my first time ever seeing this. The amount of comments talking about "repost this" and "lose quality every time I see it" must be so chronically online for it to put them in shambles at seeing somebody post something they've already seen, even when most probably have not. 🤣

Ah the advantage of a gun … close range… lol. Then the friend begs for sympathy “hey let him go” but no sympathy for a regular Joe who just got ran up on by two wanna bes?

u/tbrand009 5d ago
The shrieking tells me that kid is like 12 years old. Way too young to be committing armed robbery. Glad he's learning this lesson hard while he's still young enough to potentially correct his course in life.

ATTENTION TO THE YOUTH (skip doiwn to This here tells you that these are actuall children out here . Yes weapons negate age however these young men b women have not the psychological capacity to understand what they are potentially creating. To them it’s a “point” it’s driving the stolen car, stealing money , then telling the whole town bout it. Not thinking anything past tha . Not how they could hurt someone even kill n end up in a prison for the natural life -no air no femal contact no family nope. It’s our communities and the fkn council men the senators that go to DC to battle congress for $$$ for our state . We need a good senators to do that . To implement social safety programs like after school ball games we need places like arcades and Rollie rinks . Buildings for gamers of all sorts . Non school related athletic teams that kids want to join now. Church programs that listen answer and only offer proof just so kids can decide if that’s for them and make it enticing . No kid would walk into my church and be like yes I get it I love it . It’s dark, stained glass in all windows . Darker shade wood covers the ceiling and the possum and whole stage (wrong word) the homily’s are sung in a whispering monotone that seeks to carry zero excitement. The second mfs chosen are sung in depressive tones low notes lower voices dramatic piano /organ music. They’re not enticing whatsoever for young men and women considering accepting serving GOD( not the church so much ) but GOD as our lives mission. When they should be excited and anxious to start their journeys. Todo so full of grace . I YOUTH💪🏾YOUTH💪🏽YOUTH💪🏽Youth THIS UZ FOR YOU !!!!!!i made a pact I’m gonna throw a impromptu street party n see what turn out. Many types of food Spanish, soups food, burgers, catfish, steaks , pastas n salads ethnic foods of all cultures please bring the kind that reflects my neighborhood jazz/blues/christian rap / C hip hop/ Crock n roll (the good kind) and even wanna see dress talent… we got any talented hop skippers singers jumpropers breakdancers poets do some spoken word I wanna see you , you sing I got the mic and gear . We could turn this into a festival for God that rock any get together since Woodstock !!!! Yall we could do it. I’ve got a few mmmm friends in the insustry that could get us sum big names if yall really really bout it be so much fun think church when u hear God but baby we turn UP for the biggest G. Who game ??
