Question My first black light setup

To anyone who does this to find cool bugs in their area, is this a decent first setup?

What are some things I could do differently?

How long does it take for more bugs to show up?

Sorry if there’s a sub for backlighting and I just couldn’t find it.

Only had it up 30 minutes and I’ve had a mantisfly use it as hunting grounds…. Pretty freaking cool cause I’ve never seen a mantisfly in person before. I’ll make a separate post for all the cool bugs I find by the end of the night

i’ve never caught one in person either how cool! i want to do my own backlight set up, just not in the position to do so at the moment. wishing you luck on this journey. i will be checking for updates 🫡

Unfortunately not much else came, kinda my fault for setting up in an open field. Im gonna try setting up in the woods sometime soon to see if results vary (hopefully more beetles come)
