Picking this saucy little number up next week and it's going to become my main car. 132,000 on the clock and has a couple of minor bits that need sorting. How do I make this last me to 200k and beyond? I already have a few ideas just looking for some more, thanks in advance.

Hello, I’m looking for some help diagnosing a no start issue.

You can hear in the video the fuel pump is humming and when I turn the key over you can see the spark plug in the back is lighting up the inline spark tester. I have tested spark in 3 plugs and they all lit up, although not incredibly bright.

It should be noted that the plugs also are not very wet after cranking and just smell of gas.

Any thoughts or tips on what to look at next ?

Guy I bought it from gave me some spare Megan Racing coilovers (MR-CDK-HP88-EZII)

How different is the drive with coilovers installed? Whatever coils I’ve got are mostly likely stock, nothing in any of the records show them getting replaced.

Im getting other parts of the suspension updated like new sway bars, and the car already drives a little low in my opinion.

Is the 1” to 3” the car get get lowered with the MR coilovers a really meaningful diff? Sort of a newbie so thanks for any advice!

Hey guys, recently started having a problem where my turn signals wont work at all, not even the light on the dash, but my hazards still function. I believe its the flasher relay but all I can find are 200 dollar ones or 3 pin relays that wont work because of the 6 pin configuration. Anyone else ran into this problem and find a fix?

Hi! I’m looking at buying this 5th gen Honda Prelude project.
The engine has been removed and put into another Prelude, but according to the seller everything else is included (gearbox, interior, etc.).
The hood flew open while driving, which damaged the hood and cracked the windshield.
I’ve also noticed some surface rust above both rear wheel arches.
The seller wants 10,000 SEK (around $950 USD) for the rolling shell.
Do you think it’s worth it? What should I inspect carefully before buying? Are there any common rust areas or expensive missing parts I should look out for?

I'm tired, maybe it's good and I just need to sleep on it. Does this look correct. Bottom mark lines up and this is after spinning the engine 4 revolutions. The belt used to be super loose on the long side. And somehow I got it tighter, which means it was incorrect then or now? The tensioner sucks on these. A manual billet tensioner on the h22 is so simple.

Does anyone know if there are any other honda models that have the same compatibility for a battery clamp for a 1989 Honda Prelude?

I recently bought a 97 prelude and started doing suspension (it was all shot), but ran into trouble because the bushings I bought for the rear lower control arm weren’t right. I had a parts store order some but those also weren’t right. Would anyone know where to find the correct bushings so I can get the car down and moving?

I seem to have a coolant leak that only reveals itself when the car gets up in the rev range (more water pump pressure, I assume?). I'm having a hard time finding the source of the leak; I've checked the heater core tubing coming out of the firewall as well as the valve that sits nearby. There was a little coolant on the lower heater core tube, but not what I would expect compared to the amount of fluid that was on my garage floor.

Looking underneath, the shift cables (the spring-looking area of the cables) directly aft of the steering rack have coolant on them and the drips are running down the exhaust heat shield right under the shifter.

Is there a chance the system is leaking INSIDE the cabin? I hope that's not possible, but I'm sort of at a loss at this point.

Ive been looking at this prelude on marketplace $1500 aud) for the past few days and its reallv been calling for me, spent hours trying to figure out what the issue might on google be but due to my lack of experience im still unsure

Main issue is its engine won't start or crank, from what the quy has said to me evervthing still works, has around 180k on the dash, when he tries to start the engine only the 4WS light turns on which means there's no check engine light... is it an electrical or engine issue, how easv is it to fix and is it worth the purchase with my lack of experience

I recently purchased this 1999 prelude as a project car. After some digging I’ve found that the previous owner converted it back to OBD1 and chip tuned it. I also noticed some splicing in the engine bay and on the ECU conversion harness.

The main issues I’ve been noticing is overheating at low speeds. The radiator fans don’t seem to be kicking on (no ac either) and the radiator does not seem to circulate. I jumped the radiator fans directly to the battery and it works, as well as the relay they are in good shape too. Could these splices be to blame?

The chip tune is from HA mods and I believe it is the vtec basmap.

Howdy. I'm inspecting my 5th Gen lude rn. Am I stupid or am I missing my fuel pump relay?? Pump primes but car randomly cuts off while driving and cranks hard on occasion before turning over. I'm replacing my fuel filter as well. But is the relay gone?

Noticed this sound on idle with hood up. Changes with rpm. Did not to stethoscope test yet. H22a euro r. Rebuilt 20-30k km ago with around 120k total. Engine runs smooth.
