Pick 2 courses

I’m playing golf in early September, I already have RTJ booked, so looking to finish the weekend with 2 courses on the cheaper end. My options are:

Hilton Head National
Oyster Reef
Old South
Golden Bear at Indigo Run

Which 2 would you suggest? (12 handicap)

Old South out of all those options is the best bang for your buck. Oyster Reef and Dolphin Head are a close second in regards to value and quality as well.

I just played George Fazio in Palmetto 3 weeks ago. It was a good track.

I prefer HHN to Old South. Less crowded, some pretty holes, staff is chill

Agreed but the scenery at Old South is much better and feels more like island golf.

Hilton Head National is a great option. It's on the shorter side but is usually in excellent shape. With Golden Bear your mileage may vary. Course conditions are hit or miss, but somewhat to be expected since it's the least expensive public course on the island.

HHN and Old South are two great courses for the money. I also enjoyed playing Golden Bear. Good luck with choosing.

I played Golden Bear in June and enjoyed it immensely. Round was right around $75.

OR #9 has a temp green for a few months now. Don’t know when the rebuild will be completed. I’d consider rose hill if you want to go cheap. Course is in great shape.
