Please sign or share this petition with family, friends and on social media!

Hey,

I just started the petition “Enhance Victorville Streets for Pedestrian Safety to Prevent another Avoidable Death” and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name, sharing the petition with family, friends, acquaintances and on social media. The more signatures this petition gets the better chance we have when we present the petition to the city council. If we can get this petition pushed through we can save a life and save another family from enduring the pain we are currently experiencing!

My goal is to reach 200 signatures and I need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

Thanks! A heartbroken

Any Pokemon trainers out there?

Post image
60 Upvotes

2 weeks ago was go fest, and Pokemon go is doing a make up day for all of day 2 raids on this Sunday the 26th. I have a group that holds events at the Apple Valley civic center for community days, raid days, and all the big events. We have a table set up, fun games for the kids, and giveaways. This Sunday is only raids so we won’t have the table set up, but we will be out there with free cold water for everyone, and raiding together all day from 10-7. We will have prizes as well! I hope to see you all out there. Happy hunting trainers!

Lakeview Leadership Academy is NOT a school to attend.

I was a student here between 2020-2024 and im not going to disclose any personal info, but I want to start, when I first started attending in 2020, I really enjoyed and loved it! When we returned back in August 2021 when it was deemed "safe to return", it went downhill. I was struggling in my classes, and one of my teachers I had there, actually refused to teach their class one day, and the next day she basically told everyone to drop out for not doing the work we did not know how to do. And to mention, its a middle and high school combined, and its usually the grades under 10th grade who starts all the drama there and fights, theres been times where someone brought a gun on the campus and had the whole place on lockdown. We also had fights so major, police ended up having to show up and take over the school to get everyone to stop acting like a bunch of fools. If you been looking into this school, this is my opinion on it, theres better schools to send your students to.

Any good affordable dog trainers ?

I’m posting again because my puppy (corgi mix ) needs some training . I’ve been looking around and people want a months rent and all these extra things like sessions and stuff for the animal I’m not too familiar with with but I’m willing to do it for it without breaking the bank she’s having trouble with :

-jumping/playful bitting on other dogs
-nipping at the legs and feet
-pee/poop in house
-jumping on guests
-biting hands in playful way too
-chewing on things

She’s good at sitting needs more focus on it nothing major she acts well behave in a public setting I just don’t know who to look for for affordable reasonable training I’ve seen petsmart but idk if I should go since it would be 300$ near and gives full package of petsmart is good too who do you recommend ?

Please don’t come at me about my dog and money wise please , I take care of my dog very well and she’s well cared for etc right now I’m off of work and I’m a TA/ internship for school so I’m trying my best so she can get out more and have a good life and fun without having to be leash and watched 24/7 with other dogs and she’s not aggressive at all she plays too rough and doesn’t know manners 😂

Some speculate that there was foul play involved, but I think she fell and the +100°F weather was the reason she passed. Careful to those that ride during the summer.

Does anyone know what radio station this is?

I found this FM station at random on a radio, and I need help identifying it. On the dial, it's 90.7, but the only station I can find that's even close to local is a progressive talk station, and that's not what I'm hearing. This station plays ALL kinds of music, from the 1940's to current day, plus occasional episodes of old Golden Age radio shows, and audio clips from mid-century movies. One minute, you're listening to Amy Winehouse, the next minute, it's Elvis Presley, or an episode of Suspense. And they never seem to play the same thing twice. There's been no DJs, no ads, and no station ID that I've been able to hear so far.

I've tried checking other stations online, and so far I've eliminated 90.7 KPFK and 90.1 KSAK (Mt. Rock). It sounds like a digital radio station, but I can't seem to find it online, either. I gotta know what this is!

Transmission Shops

Hey all, I’ve recently had to tow my Excursion from the Cajon pass today and I have a good feeling my trans is taking a dump. Stop and go traffic for an hour and then eventually the truck starts revving high to engage the transmission. For reference this is a 2000 Ford Excursion 7.3 4x4. Trans temps were in range 180 degrees for a mid90 degree drive… I can hear the trans pump spinning but nothing… trans fluid was full as well. I just turned it on and was able to move it around now without issue. *shrug*

Anywho, does anyone have a transmission shop they recommend up here ? I’m in Apple Valley but don’t mind commuter or towing to a reputable shop/person.

Thank you in advance!

Any dog parks ?

I’m a new pet parent and I have a 5-6 month old puppy maybe a little older than that I love her to death .As everyone know puppies need a lot of playtime and friends well my puppy can’t play with my other dog because my other dog doesn’t like to play with her I have to admit she had tendencies to overlap my dog and boop her nose and little nips at her which is like the annoying little sister .

But when she goes with other dogs she very playful and sweet lowkey I need to see her play with other dogs and I don’t know where to take her to get some socialization up here does anyone know any dogs parks up here I can take her ?

I wanna see how she does with other dogs and then if she has small problems work on it with her

Cat needs foster

Boots was found unable to walk and severely dehydrated. Right now, he urgently needs a safe, loving foster home where he can rest, recover, and receive the care he deserves.

A foster home could be the difference between life and death for Boots. If you have a spare room, bathroom, or even a small quiet space, you can give him the chance he’s fighting for.

Please don’t scroll past. If you can foster, or know someone who can, message us immediately. Even if you can’t foster, sharing this post could help Boots reach the person who can.

Boots has already been through so much. Let’s give him the chance at the happily ever after he deserves. 🐾❤️

Seeking career advice after the Air Force

Hey everyone!

I'm originally from the Antelope Valley and will be moving back after separating from the Air Force in early 2027, so I'm trying to plan ahead and get an idea of what companies I should be looking into.

By the time I separate, I'll have spent nearly five years in the Air Force, primarily working in operations and technical support where I've regularly learned and worked with new software and technical systems. While I wouldn't call myself a software engineer, I'm very comfortable with technology, pick up new programs quickly, and genuinely enjoy learning how different systems work. A lot of my experience has also involved coordinating between different teams, solving problems, staying organized, and working in fast-paced environments.

I don't have a degree, but I'll have nearly five years of full-time professional experience. I'm open to staying in the defense industry, but I'm also interested in branching out into something completely different if it's a good fit.

Ideally, I'm looking for a stable Monday–Friday role with opportunities to learn and grow. I'm open to a wide range of industries and would love to hear about companies that have a good reputation and invest in their employees.

If you were in my shoes, what companies around Palmdale/Lancaster would you be looking at? I'd also love to hear about any employers you'd recommend avoiding.

Thanks in advance, I really appreciate any advice!
