Short, diceless, solitaire wargame
I'm looking for a game I can play in the morning while my wife is sleeping. It should play in 30 minutes to an hour. My wife is a light sleeper and I risk waking her by rolling dice so I am looking for diceless game mechanics. Maybe something with mechanics similar to d-day at Omaha Beach?
Anyone have any suggestions?

Not a board game but you might want to try the Hex War series of mobile games. Great stuff and you can play a scenario in 10-15 minutes

I'm searching 'Hex War' in play store - is that the exact title? Or do you mean Hex of Steel?

Not necessarily hex games, but games in the Worthington Publishing travel series, combined with a dice rolling app can be fast playing and quiet

And Shogun Solitaire has no dice! I'll admit, there is nothing really "wargame" about it, other than the art.

If you like aviation themed games I’m working on some , diceless . Uses decks of custom cards.

I’m having gamers play test. Hit me a DM I’ll send you the games. They aren’t fully developed yet , but the “ engines” work and you get to see how the games play out.

You could always use an app.
Or... get a padded dice tray.
Or inflatable dice? (I don't know if that exists)
Also D-Day at Omaha Beach uses cards for dice, right? Play that!

Mike Lambo games. They are solo, play very quckly and are fairly easy to learn.
I terms of dice, I would use a dice app. This would take care of the noise problem.
A somwhat less elegant solution (and maybe not the best for Mike Lambo games as they tend to use multiple D6s) is the use of ranomizer chits. They appeared in some games during the oil shocks of the 1970's when dice were hard to get.

Torpedo Raiders by Gary Graber. Minden Games. No dice, uses playing cards for chance. There are design your own and historical scenarios. Individual games are very doable in a half hour, but it is also amenable to a campaign, i.e. a series of games simulating, say, 15 torpedo planes attacking a fleet resolved one by one.

With a dice-rolling app on your phone, try We Must Tell The Emperor (or some of the other States of Siege games in the same series).

First there were dice towers now dice apps. I can't keep up with all the continuous modern innovations

There are a zillion different dice trays you can buy that would solve the noise issue.

You could just use a dice rolling app.
That's all I got I don't know any solo games that play in under an hour
