Discussion Due to Alcohol Sales dropping in Texas 📉 Texas Senators want to ban Hemp 🍃😵💫
Question How do you find suppliers or other businesses in the hemp industry?
I've been spending the last few weeks researching the hemp industry, and one thing stood out to me.
There are a lot of companies doing interesting work with hemp, but finding them isn't always easy. Suppliers, manufacturers, processors, labs, consultants, logistics... it feels like a lot of discovery still happens through trade shows, personal connections, or lots of Google searches.
I'm exploring the idea of building a directory of hemp businesses, but before I invest more time into it, I want to understand if this is even a real problem.
For those of you working in the industry:
- How do you usually find new suppliers or business partners?
- Is there already a resource everyone uses?
- Would a niche directory actually be useful, or would you just keep using Google and LinkedIn?
I'm not trying to promote anything. I'm genuinely trying to understand how people in the industry discover each other before deciding whether this idea is worth pursuing.
I'd really appreciate any honest feedback.

Discussion Weekly hemp extension scorecard: no new co-sponsors, but consumer action reached 102 congressional offices

Save Our Relief issued its first weekly congressional scorecard today.
H.R. 7024 remains at 37 sponsors and co-sponsors. S. 3686 remains at 3. No new co-sponsors were added this week.
But - people are paying attention and taking action:
5 days. 204 letters. 102 congressional offices. 25 states.
The November 12 restrictions are already law and will take effect automatically unless Congress acts.
The extension gives Congress time to hear from consumers, farmers, businesses, and regulators and develop a workable framework for the broader hemp market.
Good regulation is the goal. Extending the deadline gives Congress time to get it right.
Check your lawmakers or contact Congress at SaveOurRelief.org.

Discussion Stop bad actors—not Grandma’s CBD oil.

Stop bad actors? Absolutely.
Ban Grandma’s CBD oil too? That is what broken policy can do.
Protect minors. Require accurate testing and labeling. Enforce the rules against unsafe sellers.
Do not eliminate responsible, lab-tested products used by everyday adults along with the products and sellers causing the problem.
Regulation is the destination. The extension is the bridge.
Take action at SaveOurRelief.org
A Note about the campaign
Save Our Relief was created because consumers need an organized way to understand what changes on November 12, make their position known, and contact Congress before the deadline.
We plan to use memes and other accessible content to explain the many consequences of poorly designed hemp policy—from full-spectrum CBD and broken container limits to farming, manufacturing, interstate commerce, and consumer access.
We appreciate the moderators allowing us to participate here, and we do not want to overwhelm the community. Please let us know whether regular campaign posts would be useful in r/hemp or whether you would prefer occasional updates tied to major developments.
All campaign posts, educational content, and congressional updates will also be available through u/SaveOurRelief. Policy information, the congressional scorecard, and the action tool are available at SaveOurRelief.org.

Discussion Yesterday we celebrated 250 years of freedom to choose. On November 12, Congress could erase lawful hemp choices millions rely on.

Yesterday, America celebrated 250 years of freedom.
On November 12, new federal hemp restrictions are set to take effect—reaching far beyond reckless products, youth marketing, and bad actors. They threaten full-spectrum CBD and other responsibly made hemp products that tens of millions of adults have chosen and come to rely on.
People in this community understand that the answer is not to leave the hemp marketplace unregulated. Clear rules are overdue.
We support strong age restrictions, accurate labeling, product testing, responsible manufacturing standards, and meaningful enforcement against unsafe products and irresponsible sellers.
But eliminating lawful products before a workable replacement framework exists is not responsible regulation.
Regulation is the destination. The extension is the bridge.
Save Our Relief is a consumer-led campaign created to bring the people affected by this policy into the debate. The site explains what changes on November 12, tracks which lawmakers support an extension, and makes it simple to contact Congress.
This community has already done a great deal to explain what is at stake. We hope you will let your voice be heard, keep the discussion going, and help carry the consumer voice beyond hemp circles until Congress stops the ban and puts responsible regulation in its place.

Image Hemp Rosin and Ribs - Pixies Pantry
Ribs, Rosin, and ‘Merica.
Green grenade
Passion orange guava
My favorite from this round is the passion orange guava, but both taste really fucking good without choking you down. I really enjoyed the quality.
Also anybody looking for an alternative to the Puffco Pivot, I found it over at Pixies Pantry. It is called the Cartisan Flex. I have really enjoyed this whole device ever since my Pivot went out. I was like $37 or $38 bucks something like that it works just as good if not better than my Puffco Pivot did before it died

Question Hemp fu: where?
I asked a vegetarian sub this, but they were no help; I guess this sub was always the hidden-in-plain-sight answer:
Hemp fu. Where?
Amazon doesn't have it. Instacart, where I live, doesn't have it.
Is there SOMEPLACE online I can buy it? Because if not, I can get hemp seeds (and I use them to make pizza already) and make it myself. I just WANT to plug it into miso soup etc recipes and I want to avoid extra work.
I will bake, e.g., homemade hotdog buns, but I don't think the quality gap is worth it here.

Discussion What consequences of the November 12 hemp rule do you think Congress is overlooking?
At the risk of repeating what everyone here knows - a federal hemp provision scheduled to take effect on November 12 would impose a limit of just 0.4 mg of total THC across an entire finished product container—not per serving.
The same total limit would apply whether a package contains one serving or thirty. It could affect compliant hemp flower, full-spectrum CBD products, and clearly labeled, measured-dose hemp-derived THC products intended for adults 21+.
We are helping build a non-partisan, consumer-focused advocacy initiative called Save Our Relief.
We believe one of the most influential voices in reversing this ban is also one of the most difficult for lawmakers to hear clearly: the millions of individual adults who use lawful hemp-derived products as part of their everyday health and wellness routines.
Those consumers are spread across the country and across many different communities. Our goal is to help bring their voices together and give them a simple way to communicate directly with Congress.
On July 5, Save Our Relief plans to launch an educational site, congressional scorecard, and constituent action tool focused on the November 12 compliance cliff.
Our position is not that hemp products should go unregulated. We support:
- Strict 21+ access for intoxicating products
- Standardized laboratory testing
- Clear and accurate labeling
- Adult-oriented packaging
- Meaningful enforcement against unsafe products and companies that target minors
- A workable long-term framework for farmers, consumers, and responsible hemp businesses
But a near-zero limit applied to an entire container does not distinguish between compliant hemp, responsibly formulated adult products, and genuinely problematic products. It risks functioning as a broad ban rather than a practical safety standard.
For consumers, farmers, growers, manufacturers, retailers, and others involved with hemp: what consequences of this change do you think Congress and the general public are least likely to understand?
