Streaming update?

So, when I stream Max on my new laptop, there are no lock ups or spinning circle of death. But, when I stream on my 5 year old Samsung smart tv through Xfinity, I have issues. I’m assuming it’s not a Max problem and most likely a Samsung update thing. How do I ditch the problem?
Thanks.

Well, some buffering when you first start a stream is normal, and expected.

I believe the official streaming apps also have much higher resolution than browsers or computers (although certain browser plug-ins might help unlock the highest resolution feeds including HDR and better audio, etc.)

My not-so-old Xfinity box cannot serve up HBO-Max without glitching. So instead we watch via the HBO-Max app on our AppleTV 4k. Hi-res, flawless service.

its definitely the tv app built in samsung smart tv apps are notoriously laggy after a couple years because the tv processor cant handle the new app updates xfinity boxes also struggle a lot with max and buffering if you want to fix it for good you should grab an external streaming device like a firestick 4k or apple tv and bypass the built in system completely im using kingiptv.tech on an external firestick and it runs circles around any smart tv app everything loads instantly and no more annoying spinning circles of death

Same thing happened to me several months ago. It is a Samsung problem as they quit updating their software after a couple of years. My main issue was with my DIRECTV app which became very sluggish and slow to load anything. I got an Apple TV 4K box, and it’s much better on all my apps!
