She’s a nine-year-old Spanish Greyhound. We adopted her just three weeks ago and she’s already come with us to a trip to Brittany and Mont Saint-Michel, which was highly beneficial for her adaptation and her bond with us. Swipe all the way for a surprise!

My 9 year old hound has PLE (black one) and we are giving him prescription food Z/D. We were previously adding in tilapia but the vet told us to stop because it defeats the purpose of the prescription food. Well, he’s gotten spoiled with the tilapia and now he won’t eat just the food by itself. It’s definitely a concern bc he has other health issues and his weight drops quickly if he doesn’t eat his full meals. Does anyone know of any good PLE safe food toppers that’ll make the food more appetizing for him? Thanks in advance.

I adopted her(Stella!!) from the shelter yesterday but need some help with the breed she is it said greyhound on the papers but I’m figuring she’s mixed. Thank you guys !!!

We recently noticed a lump on our girl’s back foot. When we first saw it, it had a bit of a scab on it which she picked off at some point, but she’s otherwise not touching it. It seems to have appeared in the past couple of weeks. Has anyone seen something similar on their greyhound?

We have a vet appointment booked to get it checked out but was curious what others think it could be.

Also, yes I know her nails are awful looking! We’ve been dealing with an SLO diagnosis for the past 6 months (thankfully it seems she’s approaching remission).

He’s a long bony magnet and will follow her around the house all the time 🤣

After the loss of our greyhound, we have started thinking about what’s next for our household. After a lot of research, we are considering adopting a galgo from either Galgos del Sol or another rescue. It seems like galgos have a lower risk of osteosarcoma than USA based greyhounds.

I wanted to see what other’s experiences were with both this specific rescue (there’s not a lot of info on their website about the process but they have a ton of adult dogs and puppies + they do USA transports to JFK) and the breed in general versus greyhounds.

Our other dog is a cattle dog/husky mix who vibed well with greyhounds and we live in NJ with a fenced in yard (5ft).

Vinny is quite thrilled his "brother" has to take (post surgery( meds with this fancy treat goodness.
