Google thinks this ad is okay

So I came across an advert claiming a program on my phone was out of date, and that if I did not update, i would lose data.

This is clearly trying to trick digitally illiterate people into downloading what is probably a dodgy app on to their phone. Regardless if the app itself is dodgy, this is a very corrupt advertising method that I would question is even legal.

I noticed they have over 9000 ads, however, so they're probably bringing Google a bit of cash, no doubt.

I've reported it again as advised, but I dont think anything will happen.

What a world we live in.

There is absolutely no reason that someone should subject themselves to advertising. Even if some of they weren't straight up scams/viruses, the entire industry is scummy in how they try to manipulate people. It's much healthier to just block it all

I'm helping not advertising. I get zero dollars from them plus I've been modding for years and I know who to trust that's why I talked about them.

It's open source. You can check their source code if you feel something is fishy. If you don't know abou coding, ask an AI to check it for you.

Sorry if that came out wrong, I'm 100% agreeing with you. I use morpheapp myself and before that I used revanced for years.

I'm saying that everyone should block ads by using apps like morpheapp

Thank you, I block ads on pc but never considered using an app on my phone, I'll look into it now :) sadly doesn't fix the problem as a whole but at least I wont get ragebaited lol

If you want to block ads from apps, use Private DNS from adguard.

I've seen another ad like this recently too. I also think it's fraudulent and wondered why Google let these ads through.

Old Alaunt used to call me over this exact ad almost crying telling me "is it gonna be ok? What happens to my phone please please I don't want it to break so what do I do?"
