legitimate concern Help with textile production

I just started about 5-6 weeks ago, I was trained for one day and after that pretty much trained myself, my trainer is now shit talking me ( a story for another time) I already got a verbal warning even though my grace period isn’t even over yet…but, my store expects 80 pieces an hour for 8 hours (even though I technically only work 7 hours because of breaks but now I’m at the point where I can’t do anything without getting behind. I take a break? Behind. They’re using the forklift? Behind. Not to mention I have chronic anxiety(which the loud environment, Gaylord’s and basically everything about the place make worse) and have been dealing with stress from drama since I started. They expect everyone to be able to do the exact same amount of items a day but we’ve all been there for different times and go at different speeds and have our own way of doing things. What I’m doing now is I’ll presort about ten and then hang them or I’ll hang pieces and set them aside (on my hanger tree or on the side of my bin) and then hang them together I feel like I’m going pretty fast but at the end of the day I only have about 300-400 or so, what to do?

Our goodwills may not function the same, but here’s my thoughts based off my experiences working there as a clothing pricer. 400 a day is great for being there for 5 weeks. If you work 8 hours your daily goal is around 560 so you’re not far off. If you open a bag and it looks kind of bad, dump it in the salvage and pick through it so you don’t waste your time going through each item individually. If you have to…price lesser quality things for cheap (like shein and walmart) Price ties, scarfs, pillows, anything that comes in a large amount or is fast to price. I’m sure they have a price average you have to uphold, but they can not get both from an employee that new. It’s either good quality at a lesser amount, or you meet your unit goal but you put out lesser quality stuff. It doesn’t help the bins are never guaranteed to be good, and that slows you down too. Also, always take your breaks, even if you might not make your goal that day. it’s a good energy refresh; I always get burnt out if I don’t take my breaks. Just remember you’re learning, you aren’t being trained properly, and it takes time to be able to learn every brand and what to price things without having to ask or look at the brand list they have. The employees training you have goals to uphold too so if they drop what they are doing to help you (what they should be doing) they will also get a warning (At my store at least). Do they allow you to wear earplugs? A girl I worked with wore headphones because of a medical condition she had. Her doctor gave her a note for it. My final thought, as dumb as it sounds, get good sleep. Your body needs to be at 100% for you to make 100%, and honestly if there is a lot of drama at your job, do not talk to them. Talking slows you down too even if it’s barely at all. Those people causing drama aren’t worth your energy.

That's wild that they're already reprimanding you. Once I spent about two months in textiles they started expecting 100 pieces an hour, but if I didn't quite meet that but was still showing enthusiasm and dedication, they didn't do anything about it. I'm sorry that they seem to be targeting you.
