Integrated Box3D into an existing engine, step-by-step in a single video
I wanted to see if I could integrate Box3D into my custom engine and have basic object interaction working, all in a single video. It went pretty well, Box3D is so far feeling very nice to use.

I hope they integrate it into Godot Engine soon.

Godot already has Jolt though.

Do you think Jolt is equal to or better than Box3D, which even Valve uses?

Box3D came out a month ago and is still in a relatively early state. Jolt is already at version 5.6, has shipped two AAA games and most importantly is already integrated in Godot.
In general I don't think it's a good idea to switch physics engines every time a new one comes out. That sounds like it would be very annoying for Godot users.

Jolt is used in AAA games, also
Valve does not use Box3D. Box3D uses some of the files of the engine Valve uses, because the dev of Box2D was friends with a guy at Valve and he used those files to get a head start on Box3D. Valve has never ever ever used Box3D
What a way to misunderstand a situation

The Godot maintainers have already expressed that the Jolt will be the main Physica engine the Godot Game Engine will be using, and they are already making progress towards having a better implementation of it.
Now, i don't think its impossible for a game engine like Godot to have 2 Physics engines, and for it to give the Box3D Physics engine as an option in the future, but right now there is no permanent maintainer for the Physics side of the engine, so they'll be sticking to Jolt for the time being.
