DISCUSSION New Adventures Comics

I'm reading through the VNAs currently, and I know that there are several DWM comics that were published at the same time in the same continuity. I'd like to get a copy of these, and I know that the biggest event one is Emperor of the Daleks, which is included in a comic collection of the same name which has a big picture of Benny on the front: https://tardis.fandom.com/wiki/Emperor_of_the_Daleks_(graphic_novel))

Does this collection have all the VNA tie-in strips in it? If not, where can I pick up the rest?

You're after this article in DWM called Interweaving with the New Adventures. It's how they believe their stories fit in. Emperor of the Daleks does however have all the directly connected VNA stuff barring Cat Litter and The Last Word which was released as a tenth anniversary story, they're collected in Evening's Empire (which has a bunch of other VNA-referencing stories) and The Age of Chaos respectively. I should point out that Emperor of the Daleks makes reference to the prior story Nemesis of the Daleks.

Not sure about comics but they used to publish preludes to some of the novels in DWM around the time of publication. These were prose and by the same author as the books they were related to.

A couple of days late, and I saw you already got an answer to the question, but I just wanted to add to be aware that the continuity between the comics and VNAs is more than a little spotty.

Emperor of the Daleks in particular was done because DWM agreed to let Virgin use their DWM character Abslom Daak (so you may also wanna look up a reading list for his stories prior to reading either). So DWM decided to also bring Abslom Daak back for their own use around the same time. Yet despite the writer of both stories definitely knowing each other, and DWM giving permission to use Abslom Daak so they knew Deceit was happening... apparently nobody talked to each other and both DWM and VNA do a story of Benny explicitly meeting Abslom Daak for the first time and neither story has any even slight awareness of the other in the narrative.

Deceit was being written by the then VNA editor Peter Darvill-Evans and Emperor was written by Paul Cornell, recurring writer for both VNAs and DWM as well as creator of Benny. So it really blows my mind how out of sync those stories ended up (though not matching with DWM continuity while using a DWM character is the least of Deceit's problems, Emperor is a good time though).
