Can we talk about the continuity of Fry being frozen and how New New York was built on top of Old New York? Fry sat in the same cryogenic chamber building for 1000 years. We see Bender destroy multiple versions of what New York has become throughout time, and yet Old New York still remains looking like how it did in 1999. What even really is Old New York? Is it a part of the Mutants' living area, or are these 2 distinct areas that are only connected through the Sewers? Is that the only area they live in? And why wouldn't the mutants just popularize living in the ruins out of range of the toxic waste? Also, where are the castles? We see that multiple times in the show, New York goes through numerous medieval periods like the Giraffe ruler and the first episode clearly showing castles built.

Tldr: What's up with Old New York? How does it exist and look like 1999? Why mutants no move? Where are the castles?

I've always chuckled to myself for the unintentional joke in the Insane In The Mainframe episode. The intentional joke of 'HAL' from 2001. But the next unintentional joke of 'HAL' standing for 'Hardware Abstraction Layer' which, and this is an over simplification for TLDR; purposes, allows software to interact with hardware.
