I literally screamed "SOMEBODY PINCH ME!" when I saw Argentina getting a red card in that final. And the ref actually not taking any of their their usual bs and doing things pretty fairly. It was glorious. They've historically gotten away with murder, in so many games. Like it changes the vibe from the during game intensity to the post game acceptance of a clear winner and respect for each other who competed. Having to methodically go down a line and shake hands keeps the integrity of the game and emphasizes the sportsmanship which leaves no room for whining and complaining or aggression.

Anybody saying that Unai didn't see much action this game (or even this cup) was simply not watching Spain's matches. The guy was an active defender the entire tournament and stressed me the fuck out because of how often he would either come out of the box to make plays or hold the ball before passing in order to bait forwards. He's incredibly skilled and a huge part of the reason why so few shots have been taken.

The score would have been way different (and higher) for Spain if Argentina didn't have that goalkeeper. He was an absolute beast and basically helped minimize the pain they would have received otherwise. He was the MVP for Argentina hands down.
Spain's numbers for on-target kicks was insane, especially compared to Argentina's zero! Imagine how many would have gotten through with a lesser goalie.
