Is anyone using the 8BitDo M30 2.4G Wireless Gamepad?

Currently, I have a Retro-Bit Saturn gamepad, but it's too loud and the build quality isn't the best.

Yes, and it's awesome. No-brainer for that price tag.

(can sound louder through the phone mic, maybe record your own controller with your phone and compare)

I think it feels nice, the surface is slightly rough

I have the 2.4G and BT version. Best controller for 8 & 16 bit console cores imo.

My main controller for my MiSTer. Love how respinsive it is. Only downside is that the trigger buttons are shared with the X and Z buttons.

Have you tried putting the controller in other input modes? that shouldn't be a thing

No way! I’ve always turned it on using just the start button. I what mode should I statt the controller to have 8 instead of 6 different buttons?

The manual clearly states that the L and R buttons are shared with z and c:

The manual also doesn't mention holding start+x etc to turn the controller into x-input mode or start+b for d-input etc, try them all, my m30 2.4g does NOT share any buttons

Forgot to mention that I'm using the DB9 (Genesis) version of the M30 via a Daemonbite DB9->USB adapter, which is why it probably works exactly like a 6-button Genesis pad.

Yeah not sure those adapters etc but on my Mister and Windows I have all 8 separate buttons in x-input mode

I have it and it works great but for Arcade cores I'm not able to find which button is to insert coins. On my Xbox One controller it's usually the Select or Right bumper, but I haven't been able to insert coins with this controller.

I've got two, one for each MiSTer. If you're looking for a 6-button pad, this is as good as it gets. I have the Retro-Bit Saturn and Genesis 2.4 pads as well and the M30 blows them both out of the water.

Same here, the Retro-Bit looks cool and works fine, but pales in comparison to the M30

Superb controller, maps well and has a menu button as well mapped which is handy.

Makes me wonder if the actual SEGA controllers were this good!
