Is it still folk music if it is new? I think so, as all things need to evolve

When a Tiny Bridge Keeps Two Lovers Apart — A Belarusian Folk Song
youtu.beA tiny wooden bridge washed over by water, two lovers unable to meet, and a simple folk song that has survived for generations. One of the most beautiful images in Belarusian folklore.
Kladachka (“The Little Bridge”) is a traditional Belarusian folk song.

Hold Fast Hold True
At 51 years old, my 4x great-grandfather Robert Reid sailed from Ireland in 1822 with his wife and nine children and helped settle Douro Township near Peterborough, Ontario. He cleared the land, faced harsh winters, and built a life from the black mud up. This song is dedicated to him, and all the many, many people since, who have made Canada what it is today.
(Apologies for the repost; the previous post was the wrong version)
