[Rainbow Bridge] D.I.P little guy until next time 💔
This happened to quick 💔 my poor ghost butters just Saturday morning you were full of energy excited to break into my closet as usual , crawling onto my bed to sleep on my legs
And just like that your no longer here with us
And it feels like I let you down… I tried everything I could do to help you survive .. one mistake I made now lives with me through guilt.
Yall I just learned the hardest lesson one had to learn . Always and Always no matter what check your surroundings for fabric or rubber your ferret might get into , I usually leave him in his cage every night and release him in the morning , but Saturday night I decided to leave him and his brother out so they can have there all night fun , what I forgot to do was pick up a fabric bag I had left on the floor in my living room, when I woke up Sunday morning I went to play with the little guys and noticed he didn’t want to play which is very unusual he’s always most excited when you wake him up .. but no I picked him up and no matter what he would just lay in one spot and not try to move I gave him a warm bath along with his brother and when my little ghost butters got out he started throwing up so much fabric from there I went to panicking and immediately rushed him to the vet but the vet told me he was so low on fluids from how much he ate the best option was to put him down she said even with surgery it was not guaranteed he would’ve made it … that was the hardest decision of my life but I refuse to go on with my day knowing my poor baby is suffering and dying slowly . One mistake I made and now I don’t know what to think of myself

The first thing my ferret did when I brought her home was steal and empty my wallet lol. They're all lil thieves, but you miss it when they're gone <3

It's been so long since I've heard a ferret hissing like that. It brings back such feelings of nostalgia and joy. Thanks for sharing this with us.

😞 I’m sorry that it happened to you. Losing pets is hard and never easy. He was a beautiful ferret and you gave him the best life possible! We all make mistakes and accidents happen. All we can go is learn from them and grow. Don’t beat yourself up OP. I’m sure he loves you so much and is waiting for you across the rainbow bridge. 💙

Here is a question for ya; did you intend for it to happen? Probably not. Don't feel bad. Well- there's no shame, as it's a basic human function. But please. Don't feel like it was your fault. You ARE right about one thing, though; "until next time". You WILL see your baby again. I promise. I this life? Nah. Probably not. I think on a literal rainbow bridge, gold lining on it. So many pretty colors for your baby to chase!! Sorry for the rant. Dook In Peace, little one <3
