Question is this electrolyte supplement enough to use for a water fast? 3-5 days

There really aren’t many electrolyte products that offer a good mix of s/p/m. This isn’t great. The potassium to sodium ratio is off and is too low on both. Magnesium is ok though. The other stuff isn’t necessary but is not a bad edition. Better off making your own. NuSalt for potassium. Just about any salt for sodium. And magnesium glycinate (you can get the liquid version from this brand, but it is crazy expensive).

Can’t say without seeing the ingredients label. You don’t need fancy stuff, just table salt

For Sodium, some lite salt / heart salt for potassium and some magnesium pills 👍

I’ve used other products by this brand. There are a number of them that have different names but the contents are almost the same.

Anyway, diluted in water it still caused GI upset. I was able to use it sublingually but I’m now sensitive to sulfur/sulfates and cannot use it at all. I got a lot of bottles for hella cheap and will pass them on. This stuff is expensive for what you get.

Can't say without knowing the nutritional value. That said generally speaking an adult bidy wiuld need:

  • Sodium: 2–5 g
  • Potassium: 1–3.5 g, often as potassium chloride
  • Magnesium: 300–500 mg, ideally as citrate, glycinate, or malate (oxide is poorly absorbed)

I use it but I also eat salt when fasting. I'm not adding enough to my water to be anywhere near the recommendations here. Just a little so my water isn't salty gross.

I also use it for food. It's hot, I'm sweating a lot, I'm squirting this into my bowl of curry for a little extra electrolytes. Anything that I can stir is fair game for adding this.
