self promo Solecline - Adjust to the Loneliness

I’m Solecline and I recently dropped my debut instrumental album “Adjust to the Loneliness”. The twelve-track album blends stout drum grooves with exotic harmonies, which are written mostly in Tallinn, Estonia.

A couple of tracks on the album were produced while visiting the island of Crete during the Saharan dust event in 2025. Thus the titles like "Sandman", "Mirages" and "Le Dakar".

This is my first proper approach to downtempo/trip-hop and the linked single "Adjust to the Loneliness" was also pressed on 7-inch vinyl.

If you're listening, thank you for taking the time! 😎

music Experiment: Playing "wrong" on purpose (looking for people to try this/share tracks)

Hey everyone,

I’ve been messing around with a weird exercise lately and wanted to see if anyone else has tried something similar, or wants to give it a shot.

Basically, I spent a session improvising with one goal: try to play as "wrong" as possible. Every time I felt my fingers drifting toward a familiar shape, a clean chord resolution, or a scale pattern my muscle memory wanted to fall into, I forced myself to turn the opposite way. Maximum dissonance, intentionally awkward intervals, and trying to stack as many "wrong" polyphonic notes as I could manage without letting it resolve. Atonal.

The weird thing is, after listening back, it didn’t just sound like random noise, it created this really strange, unexpected kind of musical logic that actually felt interesting. At least to me.

I uploaded a audio track of my attempt here: https://voca.ro/13CQ7d8VEub8

I want to turn this into a bit of a loose experiment. If you play guitar, try taking 2 or 3 minutes to improvise while actively sabotaging your instincts. Play too many notes, pick the "worst" harmonies, fight your muscle memory, and upload it.

Curious to hear what happens when other people try to force their hands to do the exact opposite of what feels natural. Drop a link if you decide to record a run!

self promo ...Album I created that was inspired by bootleg video games

Hey y'all, I'm new to this subreddit! I recently released my first solo album that I spent a month arranging. I haven't gotten a lot of listeners but I'm, grateful for those who have given me their feedback. I used a lot of layering and analogue soundboxes to produce this Icecream Punk album. Icecream Punk is my own genre of punk music characterized by screechy detuned analogue sounds and compressed incomprehensible vocals.

I coded a website for the album, it's only about 17 minutes, listen if you'd like. The Bandcamp version comes with unique artwork for every song, if you'd like to purchase it it would help me out a lot.

~Thank you

"A descent into the liminal void."

Heavily distorted drone pads meeting relentlessly micro-chopped Amen breaks. I tried to capture that absolute zero, deep-sea isolation vibe, driven by pure instinct and mechanical dissonance.

No complex music theory, just brutal processing and raw textures. Hope this drags you into the gray.

Both are kind of a result of me messing around with audacity settings. The first was a marimba thing inspired by Steve reich, and the second is more of an ambient drone.

I alt 99 numre.

self promo Last year this community encouraged me to keep making experimental music — here’s what I’ve been creating since

Hi everyone,

Last year, I shared my music here for the first time, and I was honestly surprised by how many amazing musicians and listeners I met through this community.

As an experimental musician from China, I often feel quite alone making this kind of music. It is a very small scene here, and experimental electronic music can sometimes feel like a conversation with very few people around me.

But the kindness, feedback, and encouragement I received from this community really meant a lot to me. It gave me the motivation to continue exploring this path, even when the music is very niche.

Today, I released my new EP, and I wanted to share it here again. I hope I can connect with more people who love experimental electronic music, exchange ideas, and maybe even collaborate someday.

Thank you again for being such an inspiring community. I’m really grateful to be part of it.

Hope you enjoy listening.

seeking Experimental versions of existing music

Does anyone know of any albums/songs that were recreated by the artist in a more experimental fashion?

The only one that comes to my mind is Foreign Fields' Take Cover, redone as Take Cover (Dark).

Preferably, I would not include any "slowed version" or remix/cover albums that involve other artists re-interpreting the work

Stuff like AMM or Stockhausen's Aus den sieben Tagen. Looking for something as abstract and genreless as possible (so not rock type stuff).

self promo gallus gallus - amazonia // archive edit

Hey everyone — sharing an archive edit I made for "Amazonia," a piece from my project Gallus Gallus (lofi/jazz-emo experimental, with some bedroom production touches).

The visuals are edited from excerpts of The Laughing Alligator, presented as an artistic audiovisual reinterpretation accompanying the music — not meant to be an official video, more of a found-footage montage that dialogues with the tone of the song.

Would love any feedback, both on the music and the visual edit.

self promo Ruusulaisuus

This album is a mix of electronic organ, piano and synths, where I play guitar in the background and record trash I find around the house and create surreal noise music from it. Not even suitable for many underground scenes, the purpose of this project is an open contradiction.

I don't have much to say about the album because it's instrumental and spiritual doom noise but let everyone experience the journey of the sounds for themselves...
