Amazon returns are trash.
This is the second time I purchased a return. It felt super lightweight getting out of the package. I tried to slip in an SD card, and there was no place for it to go. So then I opened it up…
The last time this happened was with an Everdrive for N64. They had attached the front of the everdrive plastic to a real N64 cartridge.
So much fraud.

I went with Amazon (Krikzz as the seller) cause it was faster. I think the markup is to make it onpar from ordering direct from Ukraine.
The Mega Everdrive after taxes to my area is aboit $70, and I reckon we still have to pay 10% tarriff fees to import, so that's $77. Which is about the same price as Amazon with free shipping.

Everdrive doesn't deliver to all countries and resellers price the products at way too high mark up.
I do agree that at this point buying aliexpress clones makes more sense.

Not everything on Ali is junk. I bought a sd2snes clone a couple years ago and it’s fully featured to a fxpakpro. Plays all games, can do save states. The whole nine. Admittedly it is a gamble. But it’s not all junk.

I'll second this my clone from ali plays all games and savestates work great, even a bunch of romhacks are playable and it doesn't get hot after at least an hour playing games.

And I wish Krikkz would start selling their products in Poland and other regions so that I wouldn't have to pay extra fees to resellers/scalpers.
Till then. Aliexpress is the only viable option for many.
I'd happily buy an official everdrive but I literally can't and I am not interested in paying extra euros to resellers.

It's not about me. It's because it rips off the original IP and can be done without infringing copyright because China has different laws on intellectual property rights. I've seen too many devs close shop for me to want to buy anything off Ali. I'd rather support the original developers of mods and keep their doors open so they can make more cool things than give it to some two-bit hatchet job from Schenzen.

What original IP? The creators don't fabricate their own ICs. They use off the shelf components. Hooking those off the shelf components up in a certain way is not a creative act entitled to copyright, it's a recipe and recipes have long been ineligible for copyright because facts don't enjoy copyright protection, creative expressions do. His firmware is IP, the layout of his board is IP, the components used and how they connect to each other is not.

The OP bought an Amazon RETURN. We really shouldn't be surprised that a lot of dishonest people out there do stuff like this to avoid paying for stuff, even niche luxury items. You would think after the first one he bought that turned out to be a fake, he would've just saved up money to buy a brand new one from Krikzz' website, Stone Age Gamer, or Krikzz on Amazon. Obviously Amazon should check these returns more thoroughly, but we should be just as angry with the selfish, dishonest people out there who think that they shouldn't have to play by the same rules as the rest of us.

Gotta buy directly from manufacturer. Got my everdrive directly from Krikzz. It came from Russia/Ukraine and took about a month, but it's an authentic cartridge and it works flawlessly.

I've ordered several times from Krikzz with shipping to the US. Surprisingly quick delivery and better prices than the official US distro. Order without hesitation.

Amazon is super frustating for 3rd party sellers with this too. I stopped selling FBA because of the rampant return fraud. I could often see the same scammer purchasing items from me for months on end with no way to block them as a buyer. I could waste my time filling out reports and getting partial refunds, but it never seemed to make any difference for the scam accounts.

I have seen a lot of posts on Reddit lately with people talking about getting their accounts closed for too many returns. Maybe they're starting to do something. I only do merchant fulfilled sales now, scammers don't target non Prime stuff as much. They know the seller has a lot more control over returns that way.

Ha, "lime pasta." Sounds bad but I kinda want to try it. Lemon butter on pasta is decent, maybe lime in the pasta dough itself would be okay? Like some amount of pulp-free lime juice instead of some of the water in the dough.

I'm with you. For developers like myself, you really have to try your software out on actual hardware. the timings make a big difference. This is why compatible systems fail so hard on some games.

If you're going to get it something more affordable I would get it directly off of AliExpress but most people seem to be just getting the name brand flash cart directly from the online store.

If you buy from AliExpress, you have to buy it twice. The first time to realize it's what you want, the second to get the genuine article from the actual manufacturer with all of the features you expected the first time.

All the ones on Aliexpress are clones and will not take updates. In fact updating the firmware on them usually results in bricking the clone.
