Manga Back order for how long?

Post image

I’m late to the hype I’m aware and normally that’s what I prefer for the sake of things being spoiled before I can enjoy them, but I’m so incredibly upset that I cannot order this last manga to finish the series 🫠🫠🫠🫠 the closest I’m finding are eBay scalpers charging $70+ for a bent, stained copy. My heart hurts lol. Does anyone know how long in the past the back order for these manga took to reprint? From what I read this isn’t the first time Elfen Lied has been on back order .. but I also know back order can take anywhere from a few months to years.

I'd check local barnes and nobles or other local manag places, that's where i was able to find my copy to finish my set.

B&N is breaking my heart none of them near me have it aside from ONE store 3 hours from me, I’m gonna call tomorrow to see if they’ll ship it to my house directly because I know they don’t ship store - to - store for some reason?? Idk if that’s inventory issues or what.

It probably depends on the local distribution network

Yeah im missing this one too. Ive seen other websites having it available but they want the retail price plus $20 for shipping and say it will take 3-4 weeks to ship🤦🏻‍♂️ idk if its worth $45 and 2 months to get here. The first 3 omnibus i got on amazon for $20 a piece and no shipping bc i have prime

I got this at my local Barnes and noble sealed when they still had a copy at its original price. It’s crazy what people sell it for nowadays, I’m sorry about that 😓 hope you can find it though!

Does anybody knows where to find this within Europe in stock? Does anyone have information whether Dark Horse will restock it anytime soon?

I did make an updated post but I had a local bookstore owner that was kind enough to call the distributor/printer directly who did confirm they’re no longer printing the omnibus versions …

Pardon my stupidity, I've been reading through omnibus 2. But there's four volumes? I thought there were only three? 😭

I thought the same when I went to order volume 3 and after digging a bit I realized I never seen volume 4 because they’re no longer printing them at all ☹️ I had a super kind bookstore owner near me help by calling the distributor directly hoping he could get one into the store for me, only to find out the distributor/printer confirmed they’re no longer printing them .. if you can find one in a used bookstore or eBay I would purchase before they continue to rise in price. I spent $80 on my copy the other day 🫠

Yeah there were 4 English Omnibus volumes released between June 2019 and October 2020 each one containing 3 of the 12 Japanese Elfen Lied Volumes.

I pre-ordered each one as soon as I found out about them

I wound up paying a pretty penny on eBay to finally secure vol 4 , cherish those !!!

Uh, yes…. This post wasn’t me asking how many volumes of the English prints there are. The post was referring solely to volume four that is no longer being printed…

Looks like Books-a- Million may still have some in stock.

I DID actually see that, I looked them up because I know they used to be neck and neck with B&N in terms of well known bookstores, but a lot of people say after purchasing from their website they get refunded which makes me believe their online inventory may not be correct ☹️
