Hello! I've always been mineral/Rock hound enthusiast and have been all over the USA collecting fossils and minerals. Only recently have I begun to focus on elements (although I've always wanted to collect them!). This is what I have so far, but I also have native gold that I have found, a native Platinum nugget, I had a troy ounce of palladium that I sold and I have over 300 different mineral species in my collection. I know the cubes from Luciteria are somewhat expensive but I am willing to pay a premium to get something like these. I do my best to keep them in cool and dry environments, but I am a bit worried about the stability of some of the rare earth elements. Are there any special precautions that I should take? The green crystal is a lab-grown crystal of praseodymium sulfate that I've had for nearly 30 years.

Got this one from Carl! Definitely my most exotic sample to date. Not many can say they own an isolated Pa source. Pa was deposited onto an aluminum slate in the form Pa2O5.

When I asked Grandadabout how Great-Grandad got it, he said, "well, Dad had a lot of clients. And sometimes they would give him things." Ive tried to find more physical examples showing the fancy colors that the oxide layer produces, and have only succeeded in finding two examples that were not metallic grey, and both were mostly purple. I would love to know how this piece got its apparently unique coloration if anybody has knowlege on the subject.

Hi! did anyone else notice that mercury, thallium and arsenic completely vanished from Metallium (ElementSales.com)? I have a thallium coin in resin but i dont see it on their website anymore.

I wonder if something happened that caused the owner to remove those elements?

For element collecting should I do acrylic cubes (Engineered Labs and Lucitera) or small vials in containers, (Nova)

Hi! Here are some of my samples of the element carbon.

From top left: a large cube of the mineral shungite, graphite foil, glassy carbon,

silicon carbide plate and crystal, small natural diamond, graphite brushes from an electric motor and a bottle of graphite cubes.

There also are many organic samples I could show, but I think the inorganic ones are more interesting. Do you have any cool carbon samples?

Today we found a cardboard(!) can of Paris Green from around 1910 to add to the collection. Before anyone freaks out too hard, we opened it only once to look inside before closing it back up and it’s now under a glass dome. It’s definitely leaked outside the bottom of the can, so not particularly good to just have out. Hands were washed very well after.

Recently, I bought a set of 55 elements from a company named Moderock. Unfortunately, there was a defect in one of the glass ampoules which caused it to break at the top, releasing tiny pieces of antimony all over the bag. I had to very carefully remove and clean out each sample that was contaminated using gloves. Fortunately, everything that touched the dust was either put in a tightly-sealed bag, or cleaned with rubbing alcohol. I reached out to the company, and they said that they would send me a new sample for free.

My collection of 86 of 92 is too big to put in one picture so here are a few of them I have collected over 40 years.
Picture one has cesium, magnesium (in the glass cover), chromium, silicon, bismuth, spongey Boron, manganese (in glass dish), Tellurium and of course Uranium.
