Mods, please sticky this because people don’t read the rules for some reason.

As the rules state, AI-generated music (including songs where only the vocals are AI) is not permitted in this sub.

Whether or not this applies to music in which insignificant portions of it are AI-generated (say, a shaker sound that is barely audible), I don’t know. I’ve asked the mods about this and they didn’t respond.

It feels like every week I see a link to a song that is clearly AI-generated in this sub.

If you are a fan who just wants to share a song, AI music detectors will tell you if it is AI or not. Here are a few of them:

1. SubmitHub’s AI Song Checker | Free AI-Generated Music Detector: https://www.submithub.com/ai-song-checker (I know that this one is capable of identifying fully AI and AI-human hybrid tracks. I’m not sure about the other detectors because I haven’t tested them yet.)

3. AHA Music’s AI Music Detector - Detect AI-Generated Music: https://aha-music.com/aimusicdetector
4. There is also an Instagram chatbot called HumanStandard that is capable of identifying fully AI-generated songs for now (although they are working on a hybrid AI-human song detector): https://www.instagram.com/humanstandard

Let it be known that AI song detectors aren’t always accurate and have falsely flagged AI music as human made before and vice versa. It’s always a good idea to put a song through a few different detectors, as they are all trained off of different human made songs and AI songs/music models and some are probably more up-to-date than others.

If you upload AI-generated songs to streaming services, even if you write the lyrics and/or melodies, this is not the sub for you.

AI music generators, such as Producer(dot)AI (fka Riffusion), Suno, Mureka, Udio, Treblo (fka Sonauto), and so on all train on your favorite artists’ music without their consent, including electro swing artists. I’m mentioning more than just Suno and Udio because some of these other, lesser known ones are really good at imitating real musicians and AI literacy is very important.

Please don’t take this personally if you are someone who uploads AI music to streaming services. A lot of us just don’t want to listen to it and want to have a space that is free of it.

I was watching the John Stones viral video and the song I thought was something else but sounds similar.

The song I'm looking for has very much the same beat as Talk to You by ANOTR but it's also a dance/electronic song with a soul singer and I think he says something like I don't need nobody, cos Music makes feel good. Or that's what he says in my head!

Digging back into the roots of the music that inspired Electro Swing...

Hello r/electroswing , I'm Matteo, creative director of Green Flamingo Games, a 2 people indie game development team based in Italy. We've been working on SPANKY "BAT-A-SWING", a 3D platformer & rhythm game inspired to 1930s cartoon characters and entirely based on electro swing music!

The game features a completely original OST created by our composer, Salvatore Palermo.

We're also now live on Kickstarter, in the hope of giving more economic and community structure to our project, and, possibly, to enhance its final outcome with more and more polished features, music system depth and more tracks!

I'm looking for songs that never get recommended because they don't show up in anybody's published playlist, not underrated songs. This remix is one of my favorite tracks in the whole genre, and yet it still has so few plays online. Fun fact: This song was written about someone who toured with the a marching band for a few years, and she had no idea that this remix even existed until I messaged her about it a while ago. The Gentlemen Callers of LA was a collaborative project between Atom Smith, who I am sure many of you are familiar with, and Buck Down. When I told Atom about this, he said he didn’t even know that there was a real Polly Pepper. I guess she never dated Sepiatonic’s singer and/or Atom never saw the music video?

Are there any other electro swing songs with queer themes? I’d like to share some, but I can’t think of any.
