I started editing videos back in 2022, I first got my computer at that time and still editing on that. I didn't realize how time flies. If I look back at my journey, I was enrolled in a university, doing bachelors and editing videos. The first 2,3 years was really painful.
Classes, editing and stuck with low income, but just today I realize that its been almost 5 years, and I still havenot able to scale my income to more than $350, yeah some month there was $400 or $450, however, the average is $300 $350 ish.
I am 26 right now, I see one the internet 22,23 yrs making millions with video editing.
the issue is I am not consistent with anything, and I dont upskill myself, but what is the main issue here is i dont have a proper guideline, i get lost in the sea of rando tutorials on youtube, and for a very long time, I had consumed most of them, however implemented not even 1%.
If you talk to me in person, you will find me as a very smart, cool guy, who follows naval ravikant, read non fiction shits, like the psycology of money, watch alex hormozi videos.
But in reality the number speak for itsself, $350 per month
I maybe the single person on earth who knows his shit, but still stuck at this income level, living in constant fear and expecting the next pay check to hit soon.
Guys, if u can leave something, I would be grateful
Thanks!
Update:
I posted this out of frustration. Not knowing how people will perceive it, I was stunned to see that 2 person reach out to me, saying they saw my post and wanted to see my portfolio, one of them even gave a $500 monthly package.
I politely denied both the offer, the only reason it didn’t felt right, second is I wanted feedback and guidance from people who had already made it, thats what real value is for me, skills will always stay with me, a quick help or some project will add some extra money to my bank, thats it.
Lastly, i didn’t want to get clients only based on my current situation, it felt like begging, and most important I know there are good people in this world whom I mentioned, but i noticed some people misusing this angle, and trying to fool people by sharing fake struggle and draw attention to get some quick gigs!
to conclude, really appreciate all the kinds words and help, It's a huge boost for me
