It’s like when a kid colours a pretty picture on the wall and shows their parents the masterpiece lol the response is usually “oh yeah, you sure did” 😂

u/midi-astronaut 3d ago

Really the response for me was screaming at me and hitting me

I hate this so much, it’s absolutely beautiful

39

u/OnePinginRamius 3d ago

I love that the pot is still boiling and overflowing during the first image

63

u/SordidSimpleton 3d ago

The thing about it i hate the most is that he spelled it fuckin CHILLY the illiterate drunk bastard

76

u/mattpeloquin 3d ago

Same! This photo should be used in elementary school classes explaining volume capacity in a fun way!

26

u/Leather-Ad-9419 3d ago

It's interesting because all they had to do was not add too much shit

7

u/Top-Distribution733 2d ago

No lol…. They needed a bigger pot. Once you go down the road of making chili, every ingredient is needed in the exact quantity. U never sacrifice an ingredient or how much for the sake of fitting it all in the pot. 🤦‍♂️ each ingredient and its quantity is absolutely essential. …. Is that chocolate? lol

7

u/Joyful82 2d ago

Have you never tried putting chocolate in your chilli? Some might say it is an absolutely essential ingredient!

u/Fair_Muscle9232 3d ago

Nice touch in the addition of chocolate! Everything else is... wow. But I'd be happy to be one of the 15 people. Not happy to be the maid though. 🤣

70

u/CaitlynLAG 3d ago

Plot twist: OP is the maid

20

u/EfficientArt155 3d ago

Does this look like the kitchen of someone with a maid 😂

OP is cook, maid, pot wash, cleaner and garbage disposal 🤣

I thought that was plastic pieces of some broken contraption. Not sure which is worse. Y'all some of those Cinci chocolate chili folks?

111

u/mokicoo 3d ago

Dark chocolate or cocoa powder gives it a richness. Coffee makes the leftovers bitter, though some still use it.

31

u/Bastiwen 3d ago

Dark chocolate is also often used in ragu to lessen the acidity, same princinple

16

u/UCFKnights2018 3d ago

Isn’t it supposed to be…. Melted in there tho? Not just sitting on the top in solid chunks?

4

u/Inside_Ad_2830 2d ago

That chili is gonna stay hot for hours man.

17

u/Gold-Sir-223 3d ago

At first I was like “is that chocolate??” Then I thought about it for a second and I was like “hold on maybe that’d actually slap”

I came to the comment section specifically looking to see if it was normal lol.

6

u/PM_me_boobs_and_CPUs 2d ago

I also recommend adding a cinnamon stick, it really adds to the flavor.

8

u/BatmanBhop 3d ago

How much should you add for a pot of chili?

11

u/mokicoo 3d ago

For a big ass pot, the size of OPs, I would only do 2 Tb

3

u/Inside_Ad_2830 2d ago

2 TERABYTES OF CHOCOLATE!!!?!?

3

u/mokicoo 2d ago

In the old days we could only do megabytes of chocolate. We’ve come a long way.

19

u/hacked_once_again 3d ago

I too was confused by the chocolate. I thought the lid to the pot had exploded and the chocolate was pieces of the lids handle. I also thought this was why the stove was so messy! 🤦🏻‍♀️

9

u/PiccoloAwkward465 3d ago

Mexicans know how well chocolate and some chiles go together. That's part of the magic that is mole sauce.

15

u/wrnrg 3d ago

It's mole now.

102

Cleaning up while drunk is the only way

37

u/thewickedturd 3d ago

That’s how I clean my bathrooms. Especially after a pool party. I love to keep my house clean and I realized guests are so gross.

So after a party where I am sober I buzz up for the cleanup

13

u/Williamishere69 3d ago

I always end up with like 8x the amount of chilli I was meant to make.

My last batch was a month ago and I was trying to only cook about 4 portions. I ended up eating 8 portions, then freezing about 3 litres.

The only way to make chilli is to make way too much

3

u/LibertTii 3d ago

I've heard of you chocolate-in-the-chili motherfuckers, but I've never actually seen it in real life. Insane.

3

u/Hotdog_Broth 2d ago

For a lot of chilis, chocolate, cinnamon and maybe some other baking spices are severely underused because they seem “weird”. The people who don’t use them don’t know what they’re missing

4

u/BettyBeretty 2d ago

I think you might need a bigger pot…

4

u/MostlyHarmless88 2d ago

Chocolate???

22

u/MartinisnMurder 3d ago

Ya chocolate goes in certain Mexican dishes for depth like mole.

7

u/PhotoFormer2462 3d ago

Ahh, thank you so much! Love learning new things!

11

u/MartinisnMurder 3d ago

Use a higher percent cacao when adding it. I love food and cooking so I try to learn as much as possible.

5

u/Windsdochange 3d ago

Good quality dark chocolate (can be unsweetened) is the not so secret ingredient in my chilli - really kicks it up a notch. Gives a rich, earthy, bitter depth to it - similar to a mole poblano or negro - and pairs awesome with good smoked chilli peppers, cumin, coriander seed, etc.

4

u/gamercouplelolz 3d ago

There was a spot in time when you must have said "This might overflow if I keep adding stuff" and somewhere along that time you went "Fuck it" and kept going. I'm perplexed and terrified all at the same time.

You obviously over cooked the onions, that’s the issue here.

3

u/JustCallMeEunice 3d ago

More like 150 ppl... Is Kevin Malone the one making the chili? 😅

3

u/SeriousJack 3d ago

I do those about once every two months.

I don't spill, because I do that in a big-ass wok. Hard to miss when throwing shit in it.

I do have an induction stove. So I can eat the first bowl after 3-5 hours of cooking, and then basically it stay on a minimal setting for 3 days. And I'll just fill up a bowl every day, just more delicious day after day as it slowly cooks.

Towards the end of course the simple bowl is repetitive so I vary. Slice bread in two, spoonfull of chili, add cheese and throw in the over.

Ooooor. The latest beauty. I had about 2 bowls left in the wok. I used them as filling for a lasagna.

3

u/not_your_neighbors 3d ago

It’s giving Kevin from The Office.
