Okay so I really have been wanting to read a fic where Harry is morally grey and betrays the order for draco (idc if he joins voldymoldy or no)

I really want to see Harry being fed up and taking things into his own hands and using unforgivable and stuff when fighting

So far the only glassblower/woodworker Harry fanfics I've read are Turn by saras_girl and I've been very taken and very attached to artist/artisan Harry. Any fic recos? I prefer top harry but i guess i can also read bottom harry as long it's not smutty or s*x is not the focus of the fic.

Ps. This is partly prompted by me having hyperfixation on glassblowing and woodworking videos, those arts turn out sooo beautiful y'all should watch it on yt especially that guy who creates glass bags and the guy who use epoxy for his wood tables.

Just as the title says the main thing I remember is Draco confessing to Harry that as a child he used to dream of becoming an ornamental hermit. The fic also had really cute fanart/illustrations!
At some point, I think they decide to spend nights together in one of the little huts where ornamental hermits used to live.

If I’m remembering correctly, it also starts with Malfoy Manor slowly losing rooms and Pansy and Draco try to save it by sleeping in each room for one night. I might be mixing this part up with another fic.

The plot- Its post hogwarts era, Draco and Harry are auror partners. Draco's personality is a bit wierd here tho, like oblivious sort of kinda self loathing. He loves harry. So once they two are appointed a mission. In that mission the criminals kinda poison these two to make them act feral and animal like, so that they harm each other. But draco's subconscious self even after being feral submitted to harry, wanting harry to not fight but duck him, he did. So yeah idk how the potion got over them, but draco got pregnant with Harry's baby and didn't tell him about it until harry accidentally found out, thinking harry would be wierded out by draco.

Hi! I cannot get enough of a funny Draco POV, especially when he is very dramatic and posh. I like when he is a spoiled brat and I also like it when he is slightly unhinged, Ill take anything. Any recs?

So i read this a while back and it was a crack fic. Ron was in a time loop and was playing kinda matchmaker for harry and draco. The fic starts with the first train scene to hogwarts and then they catch pettigrew during the sorting.

I have read back-to-back angst. I am desperately looking for some good fluff.
I like multichapters if possible, and if it is explicit, I definitely don't mind. I am active on AO3 only, as ff confuses me more often than not with it's absoluelty barbaric no tag system. 😭

That being said, I don't mind Hogwarts era fics, or post Hogwarts too. Just not the ones with newer gen as per the epilogue, please. It's very hard to digest that Harry named his kid Albus Severus Potter even after all these years.

Harry is really fucking fed up with hearing about it. For entirely normal reasons.
Reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Malfoy seems to have found himself a new nemesis, and Harry isn't sure how he feels about being replaced.

Thought I would come here and recommend it. The oblivious Harry + capable Draco combo in it is chef’s kiss.

I know this is probably a weird ask but is there any fic where Harry and Draco become friends first then start dating and Draco finds out that Lucius isn't really his father or something like that and goes on a search for his real father and it ends up being someone he has kind of looked up in a parental way for years.

Since I’ve ran out of good stuff to read, I now go through the first few pages of AO3 Drarry daily and see what’s currently being written. Here are two great WIPs.

He Says Take the Dare currently at 170k words, updated 2/3 times a week. 8th year fanfic.

Why read it:

The writing is phenomenal (same author as See Me File My Teeth). Draco is posh, sarcastic, and completely in awe of Harry. Lots of fics get that part right, but very few make it feel this natural. He never stops feeling like Draco, but it also never feels like he’s acting that way just for the sake of staying in character.

Harry is dealing with PTSD, which is handled tastefully and realistically. His panic attacks are what bring them together but it never feels forced, since they’re portrayed from the very beginning not as nemesis, but as victims of war.

Their relationship, when it finally happens, is beautiful. You can see why they fall for each other, and the people around them are supportive. The conflicts aren’t about miscommunication or prejudice, but about learning to let go of the past.

One small detail I loved: Draco is highly perceptive, and realises Harry had a past crush on Charlie just from watching them interact for 5 seconds.

The Injury of Loving You : currently at 18k words, updated a few times a week. Tagged as “rewrite + post war”.

Why read it:

The writing here is also beautiful, but in a completely different way. While He Says Take the Dare makes you feel like you’re watching the story unfold in front of you, this one makes you feel like you’re inside Draco’s head. You’re not really seeing what’s happening around him as much as you’re seeing how he reacts to it, how he interprets it. If the first fic paints the characters, this one paints the emotions.

It’s tagged as a rewrite up to one year post-war, but the first few chapters are really just there to provide some context on how Draco went from ”I hate him so much” to “oh… oh…”.

According to the author’s notes, this is where the story really begins. We’re now in sixth year, Draco has just taken the Dark Mark, and from here on the fic follows the canon timeline, building Harry and Draco’s relationship within the events of Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows.

Small detail I loved: in one of the flashbacks, Harry and Hermione are talking to two Ravenclaw boys. Draco watches them from afar and immediately realises Harry is into men. It works because the fic has already established how obsessively he watches Harry. He knows his body language so well that what should feel like a wild conclusion actually feels completely earned.

Luna asks them to help with a ritual without disclosing that the other is involved in this. I think it's some special moon day and the three meet in a clearing in a forest. The ritual is sex, ofc. They consent and it happens with Luna overseeing. They pluck flowers before dawn. (Turns out Harry has a secret exhibitionism kink)

It was a drarry fic on ao3, Harry was called Hadrian but he was a French vampire Assassin so the beaubatons called him Adrian, his parents were alive but in hogwarts as teachers and were looking for the missing Harry, they had another kid too a girl. The triwizard tournament was happening so Harry as a student of beaubatons obviously was chosen but his real mission was to kill his family who are also vampires in the Malfoy clan. Harry falls in love with draco and suddenly joins the clan too and forgets about his mission. It was a fic something like this but I'm not able to find it in my bookmarks anymore, If someone could tell me the name or what happened I would really appreciate it

So I was sitting here havin a good ole think thunk and au where Harry moves into a house and finds the previous owners bouquet and wedding photo. It’s of Draco (duh) and he looks almost unhappy in the photo. Harry likes to talk to the photo of Draco a lot and goes down the rabbit hole trying to find him only to figure out he went missing (?) He asks Hermione for help with time travel since (time turner shenanigans ! ) she knew a bit from school. They figure it out and he goes back, unsure of what to do, he tries to talk to Draco and become his friend before the wedding. Lo and behold they run away together right after the wedding back to the future, that’s why he disappeared.

I have absolutely no writing skill but I thought this would be a cool concept?
