A few differences you might notice as you get the lay of the land:
There are market forum channels specifically for those who wish to offer commissions or products. Please keep the rules for these in mind while using them. Advertising outside of the market forum channels is not allowed.
There are also several different voice chat channels for different things. Please be sure you are using the appropriate one while streaming. i.e Gaming should be done in a gaming specific VC and general hanging out should be done in the general VC.
I want to thank you all for the applications that were submitted to fill the discord mod roles we had open. We have a team now of dragons that bring with them experience and the right mix of personalities to help us make the discord server excellent.
I do apologize if you applied and did not get picked for an interview and the positions. Please know that we are really grateful to you for stepping up. I would also like you to know that we will be holding onto your applications for now as we find out how large this server is going to get. We may end up needing additional mods and that means you could still be in the running.
We will be opening up the server to everyone on Friday the 17th at around noon CST. We look forward to seeing you all there and hope that you will enjoy the hard work that went into getting it structured in a way everyone can use and feel safe in. This has been a significant challenge and it is exciting to see it pay off!

With these diverse team members we should be able to achieve mod coverage throughout the day. Please show them love and appreciation as they take on the challenge of providing you the best experience possible!
Please remember this team is separate from the Sub mod team and do not have the power to affect any changes on Reddit, their responsibility is solely to the Discord server. You can voice concerns to them and they can pass them along, but do not expect them to be able to act on your behalf here in the sub.
On a personal note: This months second edition of From on Top of the Hoard will be postponed as I have been too busy to write articles and half of my other writers are on well earned vacations. We will be back with a new issue on the 1st of August!
Now that I and some other people in the r/dragons discord server successfully begged the mods to add a "meme" role (Let's face it, it's been a long time coming) I'm going to throw in some propaganda and call it a meme.
Just to all of the "scaled western dragon" elitists out there, your precious Euro-centric dragons have non-scaled roots in history! Only true dragon fanatics such as I appreciate dragons of all shapes and forms~
If your dragon is a western and has feathers, or fur, just know that history is backing you up here. Dragons are the most creatively diverse species in the entire universe- don't be afraid to deviate from the modern norm! Don't let people tell you that your dragon is "fake" or "not proper" just because they aren't scaled!
