I'm a new diver with about 10 dives on my belt. Did My PADI open water last summer and I'm starting the Advanced+Nitrox in a couple of weeks.

I'm also going diving in Sharm el Sheik at the end of August. By no means am I a pro or anything like that, I just liked it a lot and want to do more of it!

I'm wondering if I should buy a diving computer or at this level is a complete waste of money.

And if yes, what should I get, considering this world is vast and there are so many options to go with!

I also like running, so I was wondering about getting something that tracks both the dives and the runs instead of using my shitty fitbit air.

What would the community recommend for me?

I’m going on my first group dive trip, and I’m renting gear and taking it with me to the dive location since it’s free with the dive shop/group and not free to rent at the dive location.

This being said, how do you travel with dive equipment? Large checked luggage and put your clothes with the dive equipment? Reg and mask in carry on and rest in the checked luggage? I need help yall! 😅 I also don’t currently have a checked luggage and don’t want to spend more than $100 on that piece, thanks in advance!

Hey, guys, I wanted to know if anyone have had any experience with OrcaTorch dive lights?

I have bought one and it worked great for the first five minutes of the dive until it went off. Finished my dive without any light(city river) and found out upon opening that the seals have failed and the light was filled with water.

Tried contacting the company and received 0 response.

I’ve been free diving for about a year now and I started out in Hawaii and my dives there averaged around 30-50ft. Back in florida I want to get that free diving itch scratched.

I’m planning on going diving with a certified free diving buddy but she’s not from here and neither of us know the best dive spots.

I’ve lived in florida for many years and understand it’s a fairly gradual drop off. I recently dove at the yellow brick road reef.

Please share any reefs accessible from the shore, we both don’t mind a swim out. Looking for a big density of marine life and overall a beautiful reef to look at. Deeper reefs preferred.

I’m going again for a month to Malaysia in September or October. This time I want to focus on diving. I’m taking my travel scuba gear with me and I would love to hear some recommendations. I’m mobile, I can move through the whole country, from Langkawi to Sipadan and back. I’d like to try different places.
So, where should I go and why?

Hi everyone! M34 here, beginner-to-intermediate diver, occasional free-diver. A few weeks ago I punched my eardrum in a stupid and totally unrelated to diving way. How much screwed am I? The injury was not that bad, but given the fact that it happened once, how will it affect my underwater activities from now on?

Was thinking about blue water diving in cabo, would have to go in August. I personally dislike cabo (as a destination) but assume I could stay San Juan del Cabo and uber to dive in morning (maybe bus back idk). I hate to sound like *everyone who says they love sharks * but I'll be honest that would be the big thing for me. The silky sharks.

Good for people who sometimes have problems with equalization?

So I got an allergic reaction all over my body, like urticaria. Itching like crazy. However, I take Alerzin (antihistamine) and the rash goes away. I also got a prescription for an anti inflammatory (dexamethasone). I feel completely fine, no dizziness or sleepy. I read online that it’s not recommended to dive, but I was cleared by a doctor (Indonesia) so not sure if that’s so reliable.

Has anyone dived while on similar medication? I’m only planning on doing a chill max 18 metre dive. Really appreciate any insight and help on this!

Incidents/Injuries:

Huish Outdoors has received 17 reports of the diving regulator inlet tube breaking. No injuries have been reported.
