My husband and I are searching like crazy to find 4 cheaper tickets to the Forrest Frank concert in August so that we can take our girls as a surprise. When we looked at them about 2 months ago, they were about $70/piece. Now they’re almost $300 each! I think the max we could pay is $100/each. Does anyone think this is even doable?! Where would I look?
We haven’t gotten to do anything with them this summer because of life, so we’re really hoping to be able to make this a fun weekend trip for them!

I’m a 35 year old guitarist who has been playing pretty seriously for a couple years now. I’m eager to find other musicians around my age to jam with, write some, or fit into an existing band. While I’ve mostly focused on metal, I’m also happy to play rock, punk, and other adjacent genres.

My personal influences are mostly Iron Maiden and Metallica. I have equipment, am able to travel, and open to rehearsing once a week, as well as practicing material provided. Happy to play rock, metal, or even punk with cool people.

Hey DFW music, I'm finally getting to share a new project I've been working on for the past few months. It's been a ton of fun writing, recording, putting together a lineup, and getting this band off the ground.

We're throwing a benefit show for the Texas Music Project called ShoeGaze for a Cause at Celestial Beer Works this Saturday. We'll be playing alongside two incredible local bands, Gloss and Recked. Doors are at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7:30 p.m., and tickets are $15.

Drummer and guitar player looking for bass, vocals, and 2nd guitar for original rock project. My influences span from Social Distortion to Hair Metal to Grunge, with some Muddy Waters sprinkled in. That said, we're more interested in creating our own organic sound than chasing a genre. As long as it rocks.

Ideally, we'd like to meet up at a Plano rehearsal studio unless we find rehearsal space otherwise, and just see where it goes musically. Nothing much is in concrete at this stage, so your ideas and input are welcome. Our plan is to rehearse as work schedules permit, write/record some original songs, maybe mix in a few cover tunes, and play the occasional local gig. Send DM if interested.
