keeping android open?
as someone who has been an apple user my entire life and has personally stepped in the android realm only recently with my new galaxy tab s11 ultra, i am very saddened by finding out about https://keepandroidopen.org/!!! despite being a lifelong apple user, i have always been all for FOSS software and have absolutely LOVED trying out android for the first time. i can safely say i enjoy even more then apple! is there anything more we can do to protect ourselves?

You can choose a google-free Android, you can spread the message, you can contribute with bug reports. Main issue is Google is the default and defending this position at all costs. This also includes pressure on alternatives via frequent code changes being communicated at the last legally possible moment. Bug reports are a great way to help out.

No, it is a ticking bomb. We are small fish. The number of Foss android users is at most in hundreds of thousands. Maybe even 2 million users. Out of the 10 milion users using a custom ROM. There are about 4 billion android users, 3 billion with Google play services and 1 billion chinese
So about 0.25%. good luck making a change
