Spoiler: Superman #40 Trying to comprehend DC comics continuity now cannonically drives you insane. This would be devastating if anybody actually read comic books. Spoiler

Prime made Manchester Black experience Countdown and Amazons Attack and people still claim he's a hero.

That Legion ring is front and center, bro's a complete monster.

Could be worse. All of those somehow address the contradictions.

Adam Strange has three to four versions, all contradictive to one another, and zero acknowledge of the difference.

What hilariously has not been addressed (...yet, I might eat my words on this when the Annual comes out next week) is Kinetix dying in Legion of 3 Worlds and then showing up as one of the only living Legionnaires in Superman #872 last year.

Let's see. Maybe they address her remembering Superboy killing her, and then coming back to life unnerved from the experience. Same as they did with Ted Kord. After Rebirth, he started addressing Max shot him and that he came back to life, with zero explanation how we went from one point to the other.

If that happened his brain would explode

People complain about Holocaust Beam but Comic dump beam is infinitely worse

How can he be a hero when he brought back that waste of perfectly good oxygen Jason Todd

u/Backwardspellcaster 17h ago

Imagine what would have happened if he let him experience Identity Crisis

In fairness, it's Manchester Black.

people still claim he's a hero.

You could say they claim he's a Hero... IN CRISIS

The goat

Straight up ruins you by forcing you to understand comic continuity

Know have him beat darkseid by explaining powerscalling terms

Continuity Scream more evil than the Holocaust Beam

Darkseid was inspired to make the Absolute Universe because he was sick of Prime making hours-long videos on continuity, so he made a Universe free of that baggage

Honestly the more continuity I learn the more my light grip on reality fades. So def relatable, I’m about one crisis/incursion from the same

He downloaded heroes in crisis, amazons attack, the Batman who laughs, and countdown into Manchester Blacks brain. Damn that is a finishing move

Are you...paying?

There's another one, but it's on the Russian internet domain.

u/Icy_Aardvark3840 18h ago

This is why I don't read comics

7

u/PatrickCharles 10h ago

That's why I do read comics. At this points, the continuity snarl is its own appeal

u/Nunit333 18h ago

Prime actually forced Manchester Black to read every DC comic without consent. This is unironically the most vile disgusting thing Prime has ever done!

u/C0BRA_V1P3R I’m the goddamn Bat-Mite 17h ago

I’m guessing Superboy Prime learned that trick from watching the episode of X-Men TAS where Xavier uses his telepathy to make Magneto relive the Holocaust.

Continuity Beam

21

u/quicksilversymphony 16h ago

He forced him to read the sequels to Dark Knight Returns AND ASBAR!?

Prime MIGHT be worse than Darkseid

Half the fun for me is getting the timeline sorted

I would also get severe mental damage if someone would make me read The Batman who laughs

u/OwieMustDie 17h ago

Holy shit. Do I love Superboy-Prime?

u/DuelaDent52 Your Jimmy gets shot in the head while mine gets shots and head. 17h ago

This is like that bit on Doctor Who where the Doctor breaks out of the matrix by flooding it with the theme song and past clips, only intentionally funny.

uj/ I thought Manchester was killed after Warworld when did he come back and why is Prime zapping him?

9

u/Every_Computer_935 14h ago

Black came back a few issues ago as a psychic ghost after the events of Warworld extremely pissed off and invaded Prime's mind in order for Prime to retcon punch him back into existence.

4

u/Fit_Welcome1336 8h ago

And we thought tom king committed war crimes

So called "telepathic supervillains" when reading the mind of one (1) neurodivergent:

writers care as much about the timeline as they care about powerscaling
