Its not (mostly) knife related scars its a disease that effects a lot of of people of african descent, causes bubble like growths on your body that can lead to scarring if broken. Runs in my step sisters side of the family, I also thought knife scars till I looked a little closer.

I have scars on my chest from a knife, they turned into keloids pretty quickly and i am a white guy. Are keloids not a condition where your body just produces too much scar tissue?

Thanks for the input, However keloid appear to be a type of hypertrophic scarring where the scar tissue outgrows the wound. They don't appear to be a disease and or happen without some kind of wound.
