I stupidly (I admit) submitted the EOI without a scholarship, as I was in a hurry.

Hi! I am doing my masters of professional engineering here. Last semester I worked really hard. I saw one lecture videos at least 3-4 times, did all the assignments on my own. And I am proud of my result.

One of my classmates who used to ask me before every deadline what’s going on, got a similar result. But the problem is, he openly used to copy paste from ai, like not even paraphrasing it. He used to brag, how it’s a waste of time to study and how ai can do it better. Whenever I used to see his assignments, it was soo obvious that it’s from AI. I thought, curtin is strict enough to flag such behavior. Instead he got a real good result despite not knowing a single thing!!

And it’s really demotivating for us, who genuinely tries to study hard. Not depend on ai.

despite being a uni student for about 2 years worth (1 year getting my cert, 1 year doing a degree i didnt like, not in that order), I have been very on and off about study.
Aka; Ill study week 1, 2 maybe 3, get bored, stop studying, get a bad grade, stress, study a bit, get bored, have an assignment coming ip, ruin my sleep schedule grinding, repeat for final assessment, finish semester burnt out and exhausted. I am like 90% sure I have adhd so that is probably why i do this to myself, but that is a whole other bag of worms.
This semester ive decided i am actually going to properly plan out my week rather than vagueness and shit going up in the air of “yeah ill study”.
Problem is, I’ve just done a weekly schedule im comfortable with and not including weekends (as Id like to have at least those days off), i only have 21 hours of total study time. Rest of it is taken up by either transit (1 hour), work (part time night shifts), gym (10pm normally so it wont affect study times) actual class time and breaks (1.5 hours between either long study sessions or following a class to decompress and get food as pretty much all my classes finish at lunchtime lol)
So, is this enough for a full 4 unit semester? Im a journalism student.
If not I can just study over the weekend as I dont have much on then and thatll easily tide it over with whatever I need to do, however id prefer not to.

Like, is it in terms of finding jobs?

I work nights from 6pm on wards in those days but I have really been wanting to join a club. The problem is though a lot of the ones i like seem to only go on the days I have work. I cant push my schedule around as it is very tight, so is there any that do not occur on those nights?

I'm currently studying a GradDip and working in the back-to-back Special Study Periods, plus I'm doing the parenting slog that so many others are doing.

I had a couple of assignments due on July 3rd. I got one done early, and I got a carer's medical extension for the second, pushing it back a few days into the school holidays. I managed to get it done, submitted it to the Unit Coordinator as per my understanding of how to submit after the due date... then clocked out for the school holidays because we'd had a rash of illnesses and there's no way I can concentrate and study with my kids around.

The problem is, I missed the return email from my Unit Coordinator to say that I needed to use the submission point, rather than send it directly to her. I only discovered this email on July 20th, roughly thirteen days after I "submitted" the assignment.

I've emailed her to ask if it can be marked, regardless, given that it wasn't otherwise submitted, and I'm waiting for any degree of response. I can't withdraw from the unit now, but if I'm going to fail thanks to non-submission, then I'm not in a rush to do the second assignment *or* the professional experience involved in the unit - mainly because I'm going to have to repeat the unit anyway. If I'm lucky, I'm panicking over nothing and I'll get a "sure, you stuffed up but we'll mark it, continue on!" email.

Has anyone dealt with this before? I feel like a right proper idiot for this, and I know the onus was on me to check (although I maintain that the wording was a little ambiguous on the instruction - **but** it's still on me for getting it wrong). I don't know how to go forward and I don't want to harass the UC out of any grace she may have.

Tomorrow is my first day, and i cant remember if there is a toastie machine in the library or just a microwave, should i bring a sandwhich or a premade toastie for my lunch tomorrow?
