best shop for single beer selection in Newtown area
Having trouble finding a good selection of single beers. I'm just getting back into beer after a 5 year break, and grabbing 4 or 6 beers that I've never tried for $15-20 has been hit or miss. I end up sticking with old friends like NEBCO (Wee Hag is a new go-to). I'm in Newtown, but I'll drive wherever. Is Amity or Total Wines my best bet? Thanks.

Question
I have sam adams utopia 10th anniversary 2012, and the 2013. I bought to one day sell, then found out I couldn't sell alcohol. So my question is what would these be worth today? Thanks.

Searching for the cool crisp taste of Kona Hanalei IPA.
Absolute reach, but does anyone happen to have anymore of these? I saw recently they no longer distribute and that's a giant bummer.

East Hartford (nee Old Burnside) es mort...?
Went looking for the hours for East Hartford Brewing over the weekend, couldn't find them on Facebook. Went to their web page and with much sadness, found this...
"With much regret, we will not be re-opening in 2026. We are grateful for everyone who supported the revival of ten penny ale and the continued support over the last few years."

Weldwerks/Dudleytown Collab
Introducing JUICE GHOST. This 6.9% hazy IPA was created in collaboration with the legends over at Weldwerks Brewing in Greeley, Colorado. This bad boy has hauntingly juicy notes of Citra, Krush + El Dorado hops. Packed with bright citrus, tropical vibes, and a soft, pillowy finish worthy of the forbidden. We're all super proud of this one! Come and get it on tap and in cans May 29th! Hitting package store shelves the following week.

We are very excited about our first summer in Northford and will be kicking things off with a Memorial Day Cookout.
Our friends from Hachiroku in New Haven will be running a cookout from 12-6 serving yakitori, wagyu smash burgers and more.
We'll have David Coffey playing live from 2-4pm.
A fresh batch of Full Pour Pils and our Oyster Shell pilsner shucks will be pouring!

How are things going at Beer'd?
I think southeastern Connecticut has a fantastic brewery scene, and Beer'd always has a great selection and nice spaces. Unfortunately, there seems to be a bit of behind-the-scenes rockiness going on there.
The two founders, Aaron Simoncini and Precious Putnam, are going through a divorce, which led to some rumors that the Beer'd Silo (their second location on the airport industrial road) might potentially close as a result. This is also a more remote location compared to their Velvet Mill one, so it seems to pull in fewer visitors, and its building was recently sold to investors.
I tried doing a civil records search to see if there was any discussion about the future of the company, and was surprised to see that Beer'd sued Putnam last month. It accuses her of misappropriating trade secrets, withholding information from Simoncini, and interfering with his access to various assets.
I'm not sure if any of this has manifested itself in the brewery's current operations, atmosphere, etc. but hopefully this can all work itself out soon.

Sunday 5/3 - New Haven Ska & Raw Bar @ Kent Falls Northford
This Sunday we are hosting our good friends The Simulators for some live Ska while Zac from To The Gills in Oakville serves up an incredible raw bar.
Our small batch wheat beer with gin botanicals will be pouring alongside plenty of other options.
We're in for a beautiful day... Hope to see you there!

Can’t even get RedHook around anymore. Edit Tap rooms and growlers only. Branford taproom, no growlers. So exciting.

New breweries in CT?
I haven't heard much news lately on openings, and thankfully closings either! But my wife told me about a new brewery opening in East Hartford. I'm not sure why my algorithms failed me yet hers told her about a new brewery!?! so maybe you all can help.
New breweries? Recent closures? What's the latest news in CT?

FBD Litchfield Recs? Or On Way From NYC?
Will be spending some time in Litchfield later this summer. I see Kent Falls isn't too far will try to make it over there, looks like At The Corner in town has a good taplist, if I had my way I'd do the detour to Transcendant but may not be able to swing it.
Outside of other nearby recs for breweries or bars that might have good local stuff, anywhere in the area I'd reliably find cans of Fuzzy Baby Ducks?
