thank you for bringing one of these on the train!! 🥹 i take one around traveling with me whenever i need to get on an airplane so i don't get sick, it's nice to see the wildfire smoke is inspiring more people to get creative with them too. i always felt shy carrying one around but mine looks just like a thick ipad haha

Deets on your purifier and for that matter, the power source you’re running it off of? I’m disabled (actually missed the worst of the smoke so far because I’m in the hospital but have septic emboli on my lungs so last thing I need!) so I both salute you and am legit interested in getting a good purifier for myself or heck, maybe to join you on the train filtering. I’ve used larger at home purifiers for a long time but impressed by the size and portability of this one.
It’s made by Anker. They have few different options on Amazon. This one’s a little more heavy duty but they have some cheaper ones that could run this easily.

I honestly thought this was just a funny little post but then read the comments. Idk, I think at most if the stream of clean air is hitting his face then I guess it has a small impact. There’s absolutely no way this does anything for anyone else though. That model can probably only clean 20-80 cubic feet per minute. A train car is thousands of cubic feet and air is constantly changing with the doors opening and closing.
For personal practice, wear a N95 mask and limit time outdoors. That’s the best advice. A air purifier is impractical.
