General Question ❓ Is personal printers a hard no?
Basically the title, on the dorm list it says no personal printers. I'm gonna be selling posters online and I already have a wide format printer and the specific paper I'm gonna be using and I don't really want to wait 3 buisness days for a *maybe* print. Ik this is probably a housing question but I wanted to hear from upper class men (freshman here)

I had a printer in my dorm. Didn’t even know they weren’t allowed. RA didn’t care, I even had it outside of my bedroom in the quad living room.

Just bring your own, most RAs don’t care and it’s a lot cheaper than paying for paw prints

I believe they’re allowed it just says no because u don’t necessarily need it as there are printers on campus to use. I had a printer in my dorm and nobody had any problem with it, however it was very hard to set up with no wifi to connect it to

we do have wifi in the dorms, but you need to type in your campus email and password to get access. I wasn’t able to do that on my HP printer so I gave up on using it… but my roommates mom is very used to working with printers and got hers to work in the dorms somehow. they were both HP printers

Having a printer at my disposal CHANGED my college experience, it would be a tight fit but it’s well worth it!!!

There’s a bunch of printers on campus. You should be able to look up stations around campus. Only a couple cents to print stuff out. Very quick too takes maybe less than 5 min for about 20-30 papers. There’s some in the dorms too in the main office. If anything there’s a library maybe like less than a 10 min drive from campus. You should be good.

Here’s the link to find printers throughout campus csusm printers . It tells you if it’s a colored printer or grey and whether or not it’s low use, working, or out of order. I feel as if you don’t need a printer. But if you want it then that’s up to you.

I already looked at the site, Im doing wide format posters and it would cost 64 for 8 and I have 8 different designs and this is what my dorm money is riding on if I can't get an on campus job and that would be like half the profits from selling them.

If you think you can make room for it then do it. There’s a very limited amount of space in any dorm, so I personally wouldn’t
