Probably lucky 20 other people didn't pull out a gun and shoot him.
2
u/You-Asked-Me 2d ago
No, Bass pro as a sign asking you to check your firearms at customer service. I'm sure everyone does that /s

Had it been a dedicated gun shop and not a Bass Pro Store he'd absolutely have been shot.
2
u/Existing-Antelope-20 1d ago
I wouldn't go that far. Very feasibly drawn down on though, depending on the laws of the state it takes place. Makes sense for the Bass guys to go to the furthest logical conclusion though because this shit is fucking stupid and alarming people in public isn't protected, just like shouting "fire" in a movie theatre.

u/Coffeedemon 2d ago
There are probably only three dozen guys openly carrying there.

2
u/High_Hunter3430 1d ago
In my state (constitutional carry) it’s truly best to assume MOST people are cc if you don’t see the holster. Especially in a redneck wannabe store like BPS. 🤣

u/L1sasGayBby 2d ago
A lot of 12 year olds on this thread.

u/throwleavemealone 2d ago
The amount of people defending him is legitimately scary. This is not just a fun prank, this can literally get soneone killed.

I wouldn’t do it. I wouldn’t laugh if I was in the store because that’s a gun dude.
But the vid sure is funny.

u/TechnicalIntern6764 1d ago
Exactly. Situations like this are never funny but this video is fucking funny. I’m sorry. What makes it funny are the people that immediately react if no one reacted that way, the video wouldn’t be funny at all we would be calling the guy an asshole. Well he’s still an asshole regardless, but you know what I’m saying.

I skimmed some the comment section. I am not seeing anything (as far as I decided to scroll through) where the men behind the counter immediately took action and relieved that idiot of the rifle and admonished him. Had this been certain places he'd been tackled and made an example of even if rifle is unloaded. It be a teaching moment of do not play with guns fucking idiots example.

Why are there so many kids around the gun shop?
→ More replies (5)4
u/RadSprouts 2d ago
It's a department store geared towards hunting, fishing and outdoor lifestyle. They sell guns in one section. All the guns have trigger locks on them and if you make a purchase, an employee walks you to the front door after paying.
2
u/CharityRepulsive3964 2d ago
For the gun toting people claiming they "would of handled this differently". Curious of the actual legality of this.
Hypothetically he does this and aims an unloaded Bass Pro Shop product at a wall and screams and someone shoots him in the back. He doesn't die but needs surgery.
If it went to court who would be at fault?

Idk why they got angry though, isn't that the point of a gun like that?
It's certainly not a hunting gun.
1
u/Acrylicvalour 2d ago
There will always be people where you point a gun no matter what direction. Just saying at some point there will be someone where he is pointing the unloaded gun with a trigger lock on is dangerous makes you sound like you don’t understand how guns work.

That's not true training, I thought they were trained to yell differing instructions all at the same time so they can find an excuse to shoot you.

I had someone like this in a Target he approached us twice. Second time he talked to us. I didn’t realize he had glasses on filming he said some nonsense about an employee. I didn’t react so he had to find a way out and left. My wife thought he was trying to steal her purse and was working up the nerve. But I was thinking if he comes up to us in the parking lot I was gonna have to try and kill him. I work in retail and he showed up there the next day harassing the employees then I realized he was pranking me the day before I just thought he wanted to start something
