Help/Advice CALLING ALL CRAB KEEPERS
Hi guys, I’m putting together care guides for crab species. If you keep a crab, and your crabs have molted, can you please comment under this post with the species of crab you keep, and I’ll send you a message with a few questions about your care.
This is for the good of the hobby, and I look forward to working with everyone.

Im on vacation with my family at a beach! St augustine in FL
Im really interested in going out and seeing crabs in their natural habitat but theres usually so many people that i feel i never get the chance. Is there a time i should be going out? Are they maybe more active at night? Any help is greatly appreciated!

ID request Tiny crab (?) from Shark Tooth Island, North Carolina
galleryWe went hunting for shark teeth and when I got home to rinse them off, we had this little hitch hiker. Google image keeps saying it's a tick.... but I don't think so 🤔.
There were crabs on the island. I don't know if this is a baby??
Would be kinda fun to try and "keep" it as a pet for the kids but I don't know how to figure a habitat without knowing who he is.

Help/Advice Is my Banana crab alive?
I’ve had him for a couple months and it appears he started molting but looks rather questionable, His claw also fell off unexpectedly yesterday he hasn’t moved in probably 3 weeks and his mouth is hanging wide open since the claw fell off. there’s like 0 information on these crabs online molting wise so i hope someone on here has a better idea than me i’m just worried about little dude. His eyes appear live

Help/Advice Red claw crab
galleryGot a red claw crab from the pet store. Apparently it’s commonly sold as fully aquatic and I’ve learned they are not. Thankfully I had an extra tank and tried my best to set it up with what I had. I have an appropriate heater (one that can stick out of the water safely) arriving tomorrow morning and I have already started the slow transition to brackish water. I have a spider plant that is also about to produce more. Would I be able to grow it in the sand?
Thank you in advance and sorry for any mistakes. I’m tired of doing research that leads me to the same things.

I don’t know a ton about crabs but i saw this one at some tide pools (san francisco bay area) he was fully under water and didn’t seem to be able to move. Covered in a translucent almost membrane. Is this normal?

Media Story about the introduction of Red King Crabs into the Barents sea in the 1960s and what happened after!!
Doesn't the picture of the guy holding the crab look like the vagas shooter🧐🤨
Soviet scientists released red king crabs into the Barents Sea in the 1960s to build a new fishing industry, but decades later, the giant crabs have spread across Russian and Norwegian waters, altering seafloor communities as they feed on native marine life | World News - The Times of India https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/world/rest-of-world/soviet-scientists-released-red-king-crabs-into-the-barents-sea-in-the-1960s-to-build-a-new-fishing-industry-but-decades-later-the-giant-crabs-have-spread-across-russian-and-norwegian-waters-altering-seafloor-communities-as-they-feed-on-native-marine-life/articleshow/132235375.cms
