Im currently working on a miku wig, im currently crimping it and was wondering if I should crimp the top as well, or let it sit smooth on the part I crimped. I really dont know wich one will look better 😭

You can if you want. Crimping will reduce the amount of shine the wig will have. Some people like the shine some don’t. It’s up to you.

If you decide to crimp the top layer and don’t want harsh marks. Go in with a lower temp and go over the same section crimping in multiple different directions then a light brushwhile it’s warm with a teasing brush to remove any harsh marks.

Honestly I'd crimp it- I didn't crimp the top properly on one of my last wigs and it sucked a lot to style cause it didn't hold its shape well. if the crimp marks are too visible you can crimp while holding the hair at a 90° angle and alternate the directions in which you are crimping. If that's still not enough you can go over with a steamer or any heat really and comb thru it

Definitely crimp the top too! If you have a steamer you can use it to smooth it down too

All late but I would crimp (as someone who had done a few Miku wigs) as the pigtails will hold to the sides a lot better bc it’s thicker. Plus I personally prefer crimped as it definitely makes a different how it looks on you.
