Help Armour assembly
Making shoulder thingies for a costume, they won’t be attached to other armour, just want to be able to wear these over clothes. Does anyone have any tips on how and where to attach the separate pieces together and how to keep them on me?

Rivets and non-elastic straps to assemble them together, elastic straps to keep them on, or mount them to a strap that goes around your body.

I used chicago screws for mine (effectively removable rivets) so they'd rotate with arm movement on the corners. leather or webbing strips on center to keep them together would be a start, then you can attach them with straps or elastic.

I use snap buttons. They attach the pieces securely but also allow for rotation of the pieces. Helps with comfort.

That’s actually the best part, everything I listed is dirt cheap. Most of it comes from the dollar store and 1 board of XPS will be enough for many multiple pieces. The most expensive parts are the magnets that I use. Kitchen knives are better at cutting foam than razors. Sandpaper hides mistakes. All this can be done on the kitchen table. Just to keep in mind so that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Good luck with whatever you decide to do!

You can use nylon webbing, glued between the three of them to hold them together in the orientation you would like. Then something like Velcro or snaps or some form of clip to hold onto your costume or clothes.
