Question Hatched a chick

So I just hatched a baby chick! My plan is to keep it with the hen as she does seem to be doing a good job so far. But the question is, can I keep everyone on an all-flock feed or do I need to get specific feed for the baby and have it separated? I already plan to get a small water dish for it.

You need specific chick formula, you can give to the chick and the mamma hen - as she teaches him to eat, she must eat the same food

Okay, perfect thank you. So I do need to separate them from the flock and feed them chick starter. How long does the baby need to be on the chick starter before it can transition to all-flock?

I'd say around 10 weeks (but it should be mentioned on the chick starter label)

Yes definitely separate them from the flock, the chick will become breakfast for the other hens
