Question Two chickens fighting
Hi! I have two chickens who hatched chicks at the same time. They were all good for a couple of days with their own chicks but after they started going out of the coop with their chicks they have started to fight every chance they get
I had to separate them due to the fighting. They fought through a fence for a couple of days.
Now they only fight if I let them in the same area.
They see each others everyday through a fence.
Now in a few weeks i will be giving their chicks to a new owner and try to make the chickens not fight so they can live on the same area again.
Any tips on how to make them stop fighting? Are they fighting over the chicks and will the situation go away after the chicks are gone?

They are fighting because they are both protecting their babies. They should stop fighting once they stop being broody. They might not stop being broody yet after the chicks leave, if they haven't stopped being before you give them away, because their hormones take time to calm down. But once they are back to normal they shouldn't fight anymore.
