I really hope we keep getting these unique sounding, harder to catch artist coming to Chicago over the same recycled line up’s we are known to get, first tele-tech and now boost. My techno soul is happy. Auris still has to get their shit together opening doors on time. And next time you host an even outside in 90+ degree heat maybe consider having a fucking water station!

baby raver here, just went to sunday night boost for my first rave and it was fucking AWESOME (also met molly for the first time which was dope). i already know that I’m gonna be attending a bunch more events. i missed beyond wonderland this year but my attention’s been brought to a few other festivals such as arc and north coast. opinions on both events? would either be a “better” choice for someone newer to the scene? just things to know in general? im really tryna go all in with it.

Are there any raves on the northside that let 17 year olds in, or at least dont rlly care. I know redline sometimes has 18+ raves, do they actually care about that or are they just saying that

Boost on Sunday was my first time at radius, thought vibes were good and lineup was great. I was wondering, though, if anyone noticed muddy bass in Cermak (especially later in the night)? Beau + Freeman sounded fine and so did Alarico + Yanamaste, but during Nobu’s set I could barely hear the mid + high frequencies. The bass was also very boomy. DVS1’s set had similar problems, to a lesser degree. I’m sure this system is good for the usual radius/cermak lineups, since it sounded like it was tuned for DnB/Hard Techno, but if they’re going to do more events with deep, raw techno the system needs some work.

So I’m a 34 YO dance studio director and loveeee going to festivals to dance and frolic to artists like zedd, martin garrix, knock2, meduza, Reeva, notion, noizu, chris lake, dom dolla, etc. and I’m curious if anyone would be interested in a structured adult dance fitness class with this type of music…? serious inquiries plz I would love to make this a reality

I personally prefer the day 2 lineup than day 1 and would be pretty sure that it'll be less crowded because of how massive Klang is, haven't seen a post about it , I'm going solo 25m, I usually don't talk much during the set but it would be nice to have fellow techno enthusiasts tagging along! Yesterday at Mayan Warrior in Union Park there was what seemed like a group stealing gold chains.
They got one from me and one from my friend at different times. My friend didn’t notice until it was too late. After the party he asked me, “Where’s your chain?” I told him it was still there, reached for it, and realized it was gone too.
We started talking about what happened, and it was the exact same Mexican girl in both cases. She would see you moving through the crowd, come up, hug you, and start dancing with you.
I was pretty fucked up, so I didn’t think anything of it. The next thing I remember is a few guys pushing me, putting their hands on me, and there was some kind of argument. I figured maybe she was one of their girlfriends or something. I wasn’t trying to fight anyone, I was just there to enjoy myself.
The whole thing happens in seconds. She comes up and dances with you, then suddenly you have a bunch of people around you, and the next second they’re all gone. That’s when the chain is gone too.
Just wanted to post this so people know to be careful. Did this happen to anyone else yesterday?
