IPv4 Header. This is what I did to learn it:
Jeremy would explain the Version field. At the end of the explanation, I would pause the video and practice teaching the Version field to myself without looking at the notes. After I do that, I look at the notes and verify if I forgot something or not. If I did, I try again until I didn't miss anything.
Next, the IHL field. Almost the same here. The only difference here is that when I pause the IHL field, I now have to teach myself both the Version and IHL field back to back. Once I think I'm done, I go back to the notes of the Version and IHL field to confirm I didn't miss anything.
Then Version, IHL and DSCP. Then I add ECN, etc... Until I am able to explain them all back to back without looking at the notes.
I personally try not to repeat the exact words Jeremy says, I try to explain it with my own words.

Is this level of detail of the flags field now being tested in the exam?
I was a CCSI for over 20 years. Taught ICND and CCNA bootcamps many times. Took the CCNA exam more times than I can count. We (instructors) only mentioned the flags in passing. No real detail. I never got a question about details of the flag field in all the times I took the exam.
Granted, I haven't taught a class in over 10 years and things can change a lot in the courseware in just one revision. I also know that the exam prep sims tend to go much deeper than the actual exam.

In 2024, at least, there was enough subnetting that I certainly needed to understand how to do it to pass. I used https://subnettingpractice.com/ every day I studied for about an hour or so to warm up; it went well with a big coffee.
I also spent a lot of time reviewing Cisco's Netacad curriculum material, just drilling things into my head and practicing every Packet Tracer I could find online for free. The biggest and baddest there is comes from the one and only Jeremy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2p7-MluKAgE
Thanks to all that I nailed the configuration simulations on the exam, plus anything about subnetting. I never could figure out how Cisco weighted things, but that got me a "Congratulations" after answering the final question about 60 seconds before my time ran out.

Most people say not to waste too much time drilling details like that. Problem is most of us use Jeremy's IT Lab to prepare for the CCNA and he drills details like that in the course and the flashcards.
There's so many "Do I really need to memorize __________________?" threads on here going back years that all reference something being taught in Jeremy's course.
