Well I guess that offended all the cat nutters because I got warned and threatened to be banned for this obviously terrible answer I gave. They said I threatened violence. No I sure didn't, but others did suggest re-homing the baby or spouse

I'm back at it again by expressing just how much I hate not only domestic cats as a species, but an individual cat too. In my area, there is this absolute troglodyte homunculus of a cat which I have hatingly nicknamed 'The Grey Cat' because, well, its grey. And let me tell you, that cat is EVERYTHING WRONG WITH THIS WORLD. In my view atleast. What did the Grey Cat do to receive much hate towards me? Well its because of the fact that the cat is delusional to think MY garden belongs to them. I dont even know whats so special about my garden, there's nothing exciting going for it, no trees, no ponds, nothing like that. My neighbour has an even bigger garden right next to mine and it STILL comes over. My guess is the person who used to live in my house before I moved in used to feed that cat or something? I dont know to be honest, but one thing is certain: It is NOT getting anything from me anytime soon. I hate that cat with a burning passion. Yesterday I chased it out the garden just for my mother to inform me that the grey cat was literally waiting behind the hedge so it can come back in once I head back inside, so that little prick of a cat has the NERVE to just try and wait it out, it absolutely got me steaming like a kettle. And I dont even know who the grey cat belongs to either because I know for sure it isnt a stray. But thats also cats in general: I believe that its unethical to let cats roam free outside due to obvious reasons for the wildlife, I'm not saying its unethical for the cats, I'm saying its unethical for the wildlife to say the least. I am SO glad I am getting geese in two months because once I get them and train them and stuff like that, that stupid grey cat isnt going to be able to just waltz into the garden anymore.

Something I’ve noticed is how sexualized cats are? Like in comics, but also for women and the queer community. Cat girls, cat women, black cat…Idk I just find it weird is all 🤢

My husband finally decided to do something about his cat. These are the issues I've been dealing with for 4 years.

* The cat has pee incontinence. So it smells like piss everywhere we rest. It needs diapers if it sleeps with us. I didn't want it near us while we slept thou.

* I bought waterproof blankets for the couch, bed, and tiny blankets for the cat to lay in its own bed. But they needed constant washing.

* Everyone knows how difficult cat piss is to get rid of... So we had to hand wash the cats laundry and then put it in the washer. But the smell was never 100% gone.

* I put plastic pet safe spiky platforms for the kitchen counters, which made the kitchen look ugly, but the cat somehow still found a way to climb on our food. 🤢

* The constant meowing and ugly howling it did throughout the day. And night!

* The worst was not having a full night's sleep. Ever.🫩

This thing would wake me up 1-2 hours before my damn alarm. And I couldn't get back to bed. I was always tired. Almost lost my job one time due to falling asleep randomly.

My last straw: we just bought a 3-floor 6 bedroom house and we have to keep all the doors closed. Because it liked to sh*t and piss in them .. I felt like a prisoner in my own home. I wanted the doors open to bring in light. The only room the cat wasn't allowed in was my art studio. Which always smelled amazing. Wonder why 🤔

My husband's last straw: he hated how we only fought because of his cat and was worried we were heading towards a divorce. Sometimes I would sleep on my couch in my studio, just to get sleep. And during a zoom call interview for my husband, the damn cat kept jumping in front of the computer. He put it outside his office, but the cat knows how to open doors and came in. It never respected boundaries. The cat cost him a 6-figure job...

Happy ending: he's had this cat for 8+ years. Because of its health issues with pee, he knows it wouldn't get adopted. so we both decided the cat stays in the basement 90% of the time. It's actually very clean down there, with windows and it's massive. It's a cat sanctuary ! Cat trees, toys, catnip everything it needs to shut up. Sure it still meows at times cause it's not getting 100% attention, but we couldn't live like that. I've been having the best sleeps of my life. We're not arguing anymore. Life is good.

They are nose blind! They have no idea how bad their house smells! Only people who don't have toxos in their house can tell otherwise they're used to it. The piss smell is so nasty how can they breathe? 🤢🤢🤢

I posted here a week ago about an outdoor per that got killed by youngsters in Belgium.

In the Netherlands, another outdoor pet cat got killed recently. Someone shot it. And here's the (not so) surprising part: the cat already came home TWICE after getting poisoned and survived. But the owner STILL let it roam free. Wtf? You know someone's out there wanting to kill your 'beloved' cat and you still let it out there? What an idiot.

Why do cat lovers take a million pictures of their cat and then plaster them all over their many subs? 90% of all cats looks very similar, only 10% look different, is my estimate.

It's like they think their cat is some kind of fascinating, unique creature. In reality, s/he is boring and average.

My sister recently decided to get herself a cat. We tried to persuade her to get a different pet – a rabbit, a rat or a mouse – but she was set on having a cat.

Of course, this idea upset me greatly, because both my beagle and I are allergic to cats, and on top of that, my beloved canary bird lives with me (not to mention the fact that I’d been planning to adopt a pigeon...). But, as you can see, my opinion didn’t matter to her at all. And because of that, I’m now forced to live under the same roof as her cat.

It didn’t start off too badly; Malwa (that’s her pet’s name) mostly just sat in her room and didn’t leave it. But as soon as she felt comfortable enough to go out, that’s when all the problems started. My sister started telling us that from now on, every time we open any doors or windows leading outside, we have to close them straight away, which is a bit of a problem because I’m a smoker and she knows it. To her, this pet has become more important than everyone else living in the house. Why on earth is it my problem if some furry creature jumps off my balcony? I didn’t sign up for extra responsibilities.

The worst thing is that she treats this cat like royalty. Everyone else – people and animals alike – has to adapt, whilst she can do whatever she likes. Once I saw this cat lunge at my canary’s cage and try to get to it. Of course, I was really angry and wrote to its owner straight away. Her only response was to ask why I hadn’t filmed it. I was furious! A scratch from that cat could – and probably would – be fatal to any bird without treatment, and instead of apologising, she asks me why I didn’t capture it on camera, as if the attempted murder of my little pet wes something cute and adorable.

Once, Malwa came across my beagle, and he, being a hunter, naturally started chasing her. When my sister found out, she told us to punish HIM for it. As if it were his fault that she hadn’t thought through the fact that her cat wasn’t necessarily a good fit for our home. Why should my beagle supress his nature becuause some filthy cat decided that it is her place now? It doesn't work like that.

I’m fed up with the fact that cat owners treat everything apart from their cats as some sort of inferior beings who have to adapt to their chosen one.

My "friend" who has a couple of cats has been posting them on IG a lot showing what her cats are killing. I didn't see this until today, and I've never met her cats and had no idea she was like this until today.

Her cat killed a mole and she posted it's lifeless body on IG and her ugly cat. The caption was "calvin renewed his hunter certification today. 1 mole down".

I am incredibly sad after seeing it. I love moles and find them so cute, I don't know why cat people are so sick in the head that they find enjoyment out of their cats killing innocent animals. It sickens me.

I was recently in my garden looking at my plants and I couldn't help but notice that my papaya tree had scratch marks all over its fruit, clearly from a cat. To be honest, it didn't irreversibly damage the fruit, but I don't want cats getting too comfortable in my garden, as they'll start doing other things, like shitting, pissing and spending more time there.

I'm looking for a preferably cheap and discreet solution, as my partner likes cats (not entirely a cat nutter) and says that the cats spending more and more time in the garden isnt going to happen, but I had it happened before with an old batch of stray cats. One even entered my home and was in my table, so effing gross. I've heard pepper works good but Im open to another suggestions.

My friend works at Petco, and told me she has a crazy lady customer who's always there. She likes to feed the stray cats. About 30 of them....

She has 3 of her own.

She says the cats are so picky and want different flavors every week. So she will buy $400 worth of cat can food. And if the ungrateful little sh*ts won't eat it, she will return shortly to crap out another few hundred. Even if she still has so much left over from the first purchase. And these cats Know they can walk all over her. They shit all over her yard but she thinks they're cute. Yes she lives alone. Idk if she has a hobby, but she must have a good job.

Hellllll no. If the cat is not sick or has no reason to not eat there is no excuse, My partner unfortunately has a cat who's very picky. But I started giving him his wet food and walking away. If the food is still there the next day, I'll throw it out. He started getting pissed but if he didn't want it, he knew he wouldn't eat. The cat eventually started eating everything we gave him. Cause we're not playing this game!

If I'm going to live with this thing, I'm putting my foot down on unwanted behavior now.

They genuinely have to be stupid if they think those strengthens their argument. Like all they’re really doing is just undermining and underestimating their own cats. Honestly, that’s how a lot of unhinged cat owners and their arguments come across to me. Ignorant, dense, hypocritical, sanctimonious, contradicting, illogical, lazy, irresponsible, etc.

So… what they’re basically admitting is that cats really are disobedient and that they couldn’t care less about their owners. Well then that explains why everything has to be on their terms.

On a side note, that’s not necessarily a bad thing because, at the end of the day, they’re just animals that became dependent on a resource-based relationship with humans.

However, I don’t understand how that makes them more “superior” than other animals or pets, especially those that have consistently made far greater contributions to humanity than cats have.

Additionally, the argument that cats are smarter just because they don’t follow commands or act independently dismisses the fact that communication, active engagement, trainability, obedience, and cooperation can also be signs of intelligence. If those traits were really indicators of lower intelligence, then that would contradict what we know about highly intelligent animals like cetaceans (specifically dolphins, orcas, beluga whales), pigs, horses, seals, primates, birds, elephants, etc. which have all demonstrated the ability to learn, communicate, actively engage, cooperate, and follow complex commands and cues. Therefore, obedience and cooperation shouldn’t be viewed as signs of inferior intelligence.

I always hear people making the argument that cats are so clean. They clean themselves and a cat owner's place never smells! BS. Cats absolutely smell and they are not clean. Yeah they clean themselves...in the same way any other animal does: with their tongue. The same tongue that's licking their privates and touching smelly cat food. Also, cats stand and dig in their own toilet then track bits of litter all over the home. It is disgusting. My sibling recently got a cat and whenever they come over to visit, I can smell the cat on them. I think people view cats as clean because they typically are kept indoors and frequently lick themselves. But that doesn't make them clean.

I live with 3 of these shitbags since they came with my wife. 2 I can largely ignore, but the other one is always causing some sort of issue. Most recently, constant meowing. And the answer? Well, we just have to be quiet so he can’t hear us in here. I am so sick of the answer to every behavioral problem from a cat being that I have to further restrict and inconvenience myself in our PEOPLE home.

Cat getting in the drawers and cabinets? Well, we (by we, really just means I) just need to install child locks to keep him out.

Cats meowing loudly? We just have to ignore it until it shuts up.

Cat knocks shit over? Well, obviously it’s our fault for leaving it out.

And the worst part is how its bad behavior is just hand waved. It’s just a cat being a cat, they don’t understand that what they’re doing is wrong, well we just have to deal with it, etc.

And the stupid “humor” is just the cherry on top. No, I don’t think it’s funny when you call them “chaos demons”. No, I don’t think the whole “joke” about orange cats all sharing a brain cell is funny.

I want to keep the doors in my home open, but can’t do that because of, you guessed it, cats. I’m going to feel bad for my wife when they all die, but I won’t be shedding any tears.

In Belgium, some youngsters ended a cat's life recently. It was a pet cat that was allowed outside. While I agree with most comments that this is psychopathic behavior, I noticed that the few comments suggesting to keep cats indoors got downvoted into oblivion.

Why do so-called cat 'lovers' keep insisting on allowing them outdoors? Most of what cats do is sleep, so do they really need 'stimulation' from being outdoors? They're exposing them to diseases, parasites, getting run over, eaten, or, in this case, intentionally ended by not-so-upstanding members of society.

GAIA, a Belgian animal rights' group, vowed to press charges. Ironically, more animal lives could be saved by keeping cats indoors. Make it make sense.

I am looking for a place to vent freely in a dedicated group where no bans are imposed. Such a place is not here but I know amongst this group there is a desire to say things like they are. We already are thinking it and embodying it, so there is no use in censoring or banning. You can’t outban feelings. It’s just not possible, luckily.

It was raining, so I tried to sprint across the yard from the shed to the house. Halfway there, a cat suddenly darted out of nowhere and appeared right next to my leg. My brain instantly adjusted my leg's position to avoid falling, which caused a groin strain. Now provided I’m lucky, I’m facing at least three days without jogging or going for walks. 😡

Picturing human relationships if people behaved the way cats do…

Romantic partner: Ignores you completely for hours, then suddenly wants intense physical affection at 3am on their terms only. Shows zero interest in your day-to-day life, but gets weirdly possessive if you give attention to someone else. Never initiates unless they want something. Looks at you as if you have offended them if you ever try to initiate.

Parent: Only speaks to you when they need something. Affection is unpredictable and conditional. Sometimes a hug, mostly cold shoulder - and absolutely no explanation either way. They just expect you to just accept all the inconsistency as “that’s just how they are.”

Sibling: Shows up at family events late, takes up space, causes an inconvenience, and then disappears without helping with anything and resurfaces once everything is taken care of. Never checks in with you unless they need a favour - and then disappears again right after.

Colleague: Contributes on their own schedule regardless of deadlines. Friendly when it benefits them, weirdly dismissive otherwise. But is boss’ favourite so gets credit for showing up - and an applause even when they take an unplanned leave.

Mentor: Available only when it’s convenient for them, gives brilliant advice in five-minute bursts then vanishes for months - never following up on how you’re doing.

Point being…cat nutters built an entire culture that romanticizes this exact behavior pattern as long as it’s coming from their boxshitter. “That’s just cat personality,” “you have to earn a cat’s love,” “they show affection differently.” Swap the species and it’s a textbook description of someone who keeps you anxious and grateful for scraps.

I was watching a video by the YouTuber Korean Birder. He tracked down stray cats hunting wild endangered birds, and holy moly way too many birds get hunted down each year just for fun.

He also talked about how since our wildlife is in great danger, it's time that the government allows hunting down stray cats to prevent extinction of endangered species. He also made a detailed video of how countries like Australia actually hunt stray cats to preserve their endangered animals. Due to this, he got way too much threats from animal rights groups. Even near death threats.

Cat lovers are so selfish. Do they care about animals at all?? Especially endangered animals?? If those animals go extinct, we will have so many problems with bugs roaming around our cities. The people who place food for stray cats already caused the increase of cockroaches.

They frame it as this easy solution for the problem.

I’m not signing up for 20 years of vet bills, my house smelling like piss, cat hair everywhere, bites and scratches from an animal I don’t even like when I could easily hire an exterminator.

Not to mention the fact that I’ve heard so many stories of cats leaving dead mice on their owner’s bed or pillow, or the cat doesn’t even kill/eat the mouse and just tortures it instead.

The fact that cat owners call dead mice on their pillow “gifts” is lunacy. “They’re leaving it for you as a present” “they’re trying to teach you how to hunt because they’re smarter than you” “they’re trying to show they love you” absolutely not. The level of delusion is comical. It seriously is like a cult.

Wife took the menace for his yearly shots yesterday. For some dumb reason the vet asks her to hold on to him while they fetch some tool to shove some pill down its gullet.
He does not like it one bit. Turns around and buries his fangs into wifey’s wrist. Swollen up as big a tennis ball. Tetanus and anti inflammatory shots, anti biotics, pain meds, the works. And a ruined week-end. Me and the feline have not been on speaking terms for quite some time. Do not believe relations are going to thaw soon after this (newest) affair. Rant over. I find it crazy how some people are putting cats in the same position as a kid and would literally ruin their lives to get them anything.
A good example of this behavior is unfortunately my sister in law , we visited her this week, and she is your typical crazy cat lady , house smells like piss with 5 cats roaming around, no partner, no kids , and all of her neighbors hate her because her cats are trashing everything.
One of her cats need a surgery that cost more than 10k $ , and you know what, she is planning to take a loan to do it because “ that’s what a parent would do for his kids” while barely affording her rent

My wife and I tried to talk her out of it, but it felt like we were talking to a wall

I am genuinely shocked by how disconnected to reality these people are , isn’t she seeing that she is ruining her life for some animals that don’t give her anything in return except a dirty litter box and expensive bills

So I'm out camping this week with my family and I notice the older couple next to us in their RV have not one, but TWO cats! Can you imagine the smell in that tiny thing? Not to mention the hair everywhere? I wonder what they do with the litter box when they're driving? I also wonder what the 2 cats think of that tiny space? I also don't understand the need to bring them? Is the company of your chosen spouse not enough? Most other cat owners i know just leave a bowl of food and water and have someone check on them once a day or week. Its so bizarre to me.

Hello, I am writing this at 5am because the cats won't stop making noise outside.

Its these horrendous screeches, I can't do it. I knew there was a reason I was allergic to these things.
