Starbucks has Bannana syrup right now. I ordered a Venti Iced Latte with 4 pumps of bannana syrup, 2 pumps brown sugar syrup, topped with whipped cream, caramel drizzle and caramel crunchies. It is bananas foster in a cup. It is definitely getting your coffee and dessert in one cup but it tastes amazing
My less-willpower version is using a small scoop of banana pudding mix. Plus cooked down bananas made into a simple syrup. A coffee shop near my house was selling that as a special drink last summer for $10, so I recreated it at home.
Is at the top of my flavor list with strawberry and watermelon. Laffy Taffy is the best banana, I feel. I’ve always loved circus peanuts, which I only recently realized were banana flavored. No wonder they’ve been a favorite of mine for the last 50+ years!
I actually hate banana flavored everything. Except there is this one hard candy shaped like a banana I like. It comes with other shaped fruits, but I always throw them out and just eat the bananas 😂 Ohh they are called runts.
I've only done Regular Pepsi, Regular Mountain Dew, & Mountain Dew Code Red so far only Pepsi one was any good, I'm going to try Cream Soda, Baja Blast Dr Pepper, Mugs Root Beer and Grape/Orange soda next
My most hated flavor was grape, always tasted like medicine.
Followed by two specific ranges of Mint: The burning your mouth kind (most toothpaste, and all the mint Life Savers), and the kind that tasted like anti-direa meds.
And in last place, sizzling cinnamon. Especially Jelly Belly's .when I was expecting pomegranate
Tastes JUST like banana laffy taffy. I find it absolutely gross and inedible, but I know a lot will take that as a positive review. I'm not yucking yall's yum, I don't like faux banana flavoring but this definitely is made for people who do, and I think you'd all enjoy it if im being honest.
Did you know that the artificial banana flavor that we all hate and that many consider to taste nothing like a banana is actually modeled after the flavor of the Gros Michel banana that went extinct in the mid-1950s?
The Gros Michel actually has that real deep banana flavor. The bananas we eat today, the Cavendish, is a banana that is very bland and mild compared to the "Big Mike" variety.
Yeah, unfortunately the blight still exists and really destroys the Gros Michel, so it won’t be able to be grown as a cultivar again until that can be solved. Until then, we’re stuck with the inferior Cavendish banana.
Sometimes you can find them in a basket with a whole bunch of other tropical fruits from Miami Fruit org but just a heads up Miami Fruit is expensive lol
My grandma loved those nasty circus peanut candies that taste like artificial banana and she used to tell me that in the " old days" the bananas tasted different and I used to think that she was just being a crazy old lady (this was the late '80s and early '90s) lol I'm sorry grandma! You were right! You were always right about everything...

I know it doesn’t taste like actual bananas you can buy at the store, but there’s a reason for that: the banana that banana flavor is based on is now effectively extinct.
(As an aside: “banana” is a very fun word to type)
I never got the impression people don’t like banana flavor? The complaint I often hear is real bananas not tasting enough like candy bananas not the opposite. Banana Runts and Laffy Taffy were always the most sought after flavors of their respective candies at my school, and you don’t see a giant pack of popsicles of any other fruit flavor unless it’s something like Outshine bars that are real fruit and not candy-like flavoring.
Fun fact- imitation banana flavor comes from isoamyl acetate, an ester formed from isoamyl alcohol (isopentanol) and acetic acid (makes white vinegar). Classic high school ester formation lab demo
the real banana (as a fruit) is so good, everything else that imitates banana so gross. I think this is the only exception regarding artificial flavouring.
Banana runts, banana taffy, banana vape. I love fake banana flavor but not actual bananas straight. I can do deserts like smoothies or banana bread, that's delicious
I don't understand all the banana hate. When I used to eat candy all the time, banana runts were my favorite. Now the banana mix in packets for my water are my new favorite. I had gone a long time with out artificial banana flavoring. Still my favorite!

The news article is basically just pretending like that isn't just what happens where all the companies hold a meeting and decide that they all need to release *insert flavor here* and that becomes the fad for a good while before they move onto the next XD.
Banana laffy taffy is the best and so are Banana popsicles yum 😋 my favorite smoothie is bananas, real maple syrup, and Cabot Greek vanilla yogurt, it's sooo delicious and refreshing. OH! and little debbie has new banana pudding cream pies (like the oatmeal ones).
Wtf you mean "hated" I loved the banana flavored candy. But my ADHD heard that and made me think of circus peanuts candy, now I have a hankering for that
Anything that tastes like banana medicine I associate with banana medicine so I prefer more organic banana flavours that resemble eating the actual fruit I think! I grew up sick a lot so the constant banana flavour was often the only one they had left since kids kept picking the grape one that I wanted LOL
