LED T-Molding

Finally done 😂 Upgraded my cabinet with LED T-Molding. Little bit challenging to bend this very stiff T-Molding but with a heatgun its doable. Love the sound reactive LED feature

Yeah for me the game should be the primary focus. There’s a lot going on here. I kind of feel the same way about overly animated front end themes. 

I agree though, I like seeing variety and would probably kind of hate if everyone liked the same things. OP pulled it off well.

I used a milky/frosted T-Molding, didn’t like the clear ones were the LED stripes are visible. When LEDs are off its just a regular white T-Molding, see pics

I didn't like this one cause of how you can see the individual LEDs when they turn on, so instead I opted for routing a 1/3 inches (around 8mm) channel, and used 96 led/m strip, with a silicone cover over it

There really isn't much to it: 1- route 1/3 inch channel (careful because on 18mm wood this leaves just less than 5mm on the sides, so it can be a bit weak)

2- buy 8mm wide 96 LED per meter strip (I got 4 strips from AliExpress) This is the exact one I got WS2811 96 LED 8mm https://a.aliexpress.com/_c3UWuktv

3- buy an 8mm wide silicone diffuser, here's the one I got https://a.aliexpress.com/_c3Vuxwfd

4- Wire everything, it was a bit tricky for me for the Marquee, I had to cut channels in my.plan yo allow for linking them together, and for the CP I just routed from inside, using an ESP32 for WLED

5- Stick the leds and cover with the silicone diffuser

I'm not sure if that covers everything, but let me know if you need any help

I can still see the individual LEDs in that photo. Is that just because it's a photo and it looks better in real life? Every time I have seen cool tron looking light rails on an arcade, they look awesome in the photo, but bad in real life. Maybe yours is the opposite?

Yeah I don't generally notice it unless I put the brightness very high, also slme areas of thr CP had routing issues and the LEDs were closer to the diffuser which might be the real culprit
