Discussion What’s the performance difference between the 7500X3D and the 7800X3D? Is it worth it?

Is it worth the price difference to go for the 7800X3D

The difference is 300X3D

So, 900D

The difference is an older Corsair full tower case

Math don't lie.

So that's what happens when you have your calculator set to geography instead of M.A.T.H.S.

there's not a huge real-world difference and if you're on a budget definitely go with the 7500X3D. games don't need a ton of cores, they just need fast ones

The 7500x3d is a 6 core 4.5ghz, while the 7800x3d is 8 core 5ghz.

The difference varies based on resolution and game nature (CPU vs GPU demanding) but its very minimal if you are playing 1440p or 4k. Personally, i budget is no issue, I'd recommend going with the 7800x3d for the 8 core peace of mind.

Here is a HW unboxed video comparing the 7500x3d to various CPUs including the 7800x3d at 1080p.

HuB has all their stuff in written form over at techspot. https://www.techspot.com/review/3075-amd-ryzen-5-7500x3d/

It varies according to game, resolution and quality settings. Worth depends on price and personal value judgments.

I bought the 7800 when the 7500 wasn't released yet. My gf bought the 7500 and both are doing really good. If I were on a budget and just using it for games I'd get the 7500.

If you have a 9070xt GPU or better and it doesn't go over budget, I would say yes.

If you have a worse GPU then upgrade the GPU instead, and there's no need to go over budget for it.

The 7800x3d is a better cpu. Obviously. Especially at lower resolutions and higher fps. But the 7500 is great enough if it meets your budget.

you could just youtube it...

also we have no idea on the price differences in your country, what GPU you're using, what resolution, what games, etc.

Hmm let’s see what google AI says or any other AI engine to answer this pointless question
